574's TVS mini build
Alright alright back to cool TVS stuff, After having driven mine around for a few days I have some impressions. It pulls super hard, it sounds cooler than the M62(a bit quieter though), Nobody knows you have one on your balt.
I know your reaction is holy **** this thing pulls because me going from stock m62 to tvs/2.9 was like that. I just wanna know how good a ported head makes a difference! I'm curious !
Oh no. You must have forgot you commented on my status last night since you were so drunk. I was with him last night and took a peek at my head.. My head is still being worked on. Lol & you know we only live like 20 mintues from eachother.. Not like it's gotta be a special occasion to go up there :P
Ah I didn't know you were talking about him. And I thought it was a journy to his house ha. I wonder if anyone has ever powdercoated a head? I'm getting my valve cover done and I thing that would look good too
Alright, goal for this weekend: put in DW300. I'd like to get the clutch off and take the flywheel in... idk if I will get to that. Ofcorse I will take more pictures than the ***** in caddyshack
Figured I'd dust this thread off and give an update.
Dove into the clutch job today, was at it for the better part of the day and didn't get as far as I expected. Got the fuse box off, shifter cables/bracket undone sensors unplugged, radiator brackets off and some other things. I have to get the axles and the starter off and the tranny should be ready to drop.
I'll be using this to help me
1500lb motorcycle jack

And this is why I stopped for the day because this bolt is a ****
Build book says its a 30mm along with other people I have had tell me it is a 30... however a 30 spins on it while a 29 fits.

Gonna order a new tensioner, LNF shifter bracket (what the hell) and cam bolts since I was told they are torque to yeild. Can someone tell me, do I need to get the two cam gear bolts? Or the ones that hold the caps on the cams?
