Am i lean or not?
Am i lean or not?
Ok so today i installed my wideband, but before then i was watching my pw's and by redline in 3rd i was seeing 22.4 pws wich tranlates to my idc's being over 110, meaning i shouldve been running lean up top seeing as tho i didnt have fuel to give the leaner conditions, but by redline in 3rd my wideband says im 10.8ish giver or take a few, which should i go by?
pulsewidths don't translate into rich/lean. pulsewidths of 20msec or greater just mean that your injectors have lost control of themselves trying to provide the commanded fuel ratios.
Tuning your AFR's to mid 11s will help lower those pulsewidths some... if not, you will need bigger injectors.
The injectors will eventually give up after a while of being over-worked and stick open or closed. Then you could have a lean problem...

o ok i thought the idcs were good to be the highest of 85 percent then when your injectiors cant keep up you run out of fuel and go lean. So the pws are what the command afr wants it to be? Idk im tried as hell lol
You car is going to attempt to combust at the AFR the computer is set to.
if your computer is running a 11.3 afr...
Even if your at 12psi, or 21psi... the car is still gonna try to run the 11.3 afr..
the afr is how much air is combusted in the chamber to the ratio of the fuel.
If you bring it more air, the car will compensate and add more fuel, thus keeping the afr the same.

... Then the ECM on the car isnt working properly and you should buy a new one.
the most common way is if the injectors can no longer keep up. Which may or may not be the case for you.
If it does make you lean, that means your over running your injectors and you should either pulley down, or get a custom tune and get your afrs up a little, or just buy bigger injectors.
Although if the injectors are fine and the only thing that changes is the boost, your afr shouldnt change.

That's what I was thinking but I don't have a tuner near me to tune for the 60s and I've heard I can't drive on the 60s wit no tune or I could wash out my piston seals
You cant run like a daily driver...
as long as you dont go full throttle, ur not gonna hurt anything to drive to your tuner..
