Exclamation Boosting below 5psi (SC bad?)..

I feel as though my SC is on the verge of crapping out (if it hasn't) already. I hear a rather loud clicking or clunking sound coming from the housing when it idles. Also, when I rev it up and hold it at about 2000 RPMs, it will go from -20 to about -10v on the boost gauge and immediately drop back down to -20ish (where it sits at idle), also it will sometimes get to 5psi in 4th gear, if I am lucky.

So my main question is: Should I rebuild this thing to get more out of it, as money is tight, or am I better off saving the $$ for a new one? And if I should rebuild it will one of these kits work?

EDIT: http://www.rollingperformance.com/

Thank you for your help!

- Mitch

I start a new job next week allowing me to save up some money while using a company vehicle, which is good timing I suppose ( although this kinda thing is never good ). Can you provide me with any direct links for the tvs sc, or any replacement that would work?

Thanks for the help thus far.

Clunking like a rock tumbler?

Could just be the coupler, which is a $50 dollar fix. Just replaced mine, it's an easy job. ZZP sells them, be sure to get the SC oil with it.

If it truly has gone out, looking around for a used stock one is always an option. For the price to rebuild yours, you can usually find a used stock one.

Or it is a great time to upgrade to the TVS.

Just be sure to have more SC oil on hand no matter what, since it leaks out as soon as you open it up.
