hey if you can get it to work, It'll probably be easier to mount there than were I got mine, room is at a premium.

thats what i was thinking. I was just hoping it wouldnt hurt flow, causing boosting issues.

You just need to make a long tube Turbo Manifold... that would be best... most that I have seen are rather short... or normal length.

Being further back will help out because the longer piping helps to cool the charge.

also being sandwiched btwn the motor and the firewall isnt' the greatest place for it (like 1/2" of clearence on both sides) I didn't even have room to run piping for the filter, just had to mount it right to the turbo.
If I do decide to run the 60-1 on this car in a few months, I'll probably redesign some things for a new manifold cause I know it ain't gonna fit back there.

Yeah, but I don't plan on just gutting the blower like you did and leaving it there. Some SOB will pay money for it

drop the timing down, and leave the pe entry where it's at. it will spool faster. might want to stick an egt in there to monitor the temps pre-spool and post. just trying to see the car be on the safe side

actually dropping the timing made it a bit worse. I'm goin to play with it a little this week and see what happens. Car's weird though, sometimes it'll make a full pull, afr will stay right where I wanted it to and all is good, other times it just drops below a 10 afr and bogs.
As for the scip sensor, is it really necessary to run it? if so I gotta figure out a way to mount it in the piping

Best bet would be to either get a hold of WOP about the SCIP or PM Witt/DJT.

oh thats sad

think of the you timing like this. the big name drag people with turbos run negative timing till about the 330 mark. gear based advance/retard. fuel is being dumped at a retarded rate as well. heat is built, turbo is spooled. car is gone. is this effective? yep, but not for a street car.

I'll play around with it some more this weekend, had to tune my friends 07 silverado last night, so didn't really get a chance to mess with mine.

How accurate do you think the Interceptor is for posting up quarter mile times?? I did a quick pull last night and came up with some GOOD numbers

if you do a huge burnout not accurate, if you do it with zero tire spin, then your numbers could be somewhat close.
