The vulcan turbo manifold is nice, however you will need the turbo flange on the bottom for the cobalt instead of straight out the back.

I am a big fan of aeromotive too, but I gotta see if they have a high pressure system

think I figured out the leaning out issue. Clutch is starting to slip up top, that's why 1st gear is fine, but top of 2nd and 3rd it does it under full load. Raced someone last night and I could hear the pitch in the motor changing, and I guess that's why I'm also not getting any KR once it leans out. Well time to save up for the exedy

just make sure you route the wastegate pipe back into the downpipe BEFORE the wideband, although you probably already knew that lol.

also info on the turbo kit. should be priced btwn $2200-$2500, no options, just gonna be like mine except maybe you can go internal wastegate. Should be fully available by christmas, but can probably be made to order soon once I finish tuning.

If the turbo kit from CA is just like yours would you have to upgrade the fuel system right away if we were to keep the boost around 16-17 psi? Do you know if the kit would be a complete kit or would there be more things needed to be purchased just to do the install? Thanks.

should be a complete kit, I don't know what he's going to use as a boost controller as I bought my own, and as of now I dont think it's a fuel system problem. I have a feeling my clutch is letting go up top and it's taking load off the motor, hence it leaning out. Cause if it was still under full load at 22psi and a 14.1:1 afr, it would either be detonating like crazy, or would have blown up already. I don't get any KR, but if you look at my logs, once it get into full boost all readings just flatten out and you can hear the motor's pitch change. Hopefully get the money together asap for a clutch and get it all figured out. Still gonna try and dyno next sunday, but I don't know what the car is gonna hold for me.

Okay so are you just planning on upgrading the fuel system for more boost in the future or kinda like a safety net. Your car would probably love you for putting in an Exedy after all the hell and power your clutch has been through.

yeah my stock clutch has made it through a lot of abuse lol. 50+ track passes, 18 on slicks, numerous pulls on the street, couple of dig outs on the streets, WOT shifts, you name it and it's held fine, but with the TQ I'm making now it was only a matter of time, I guess 22psi was a little much, but I got used to the 18 so early I had to do something.
As for the fuel system, it's a good thing to upgrade regardless. A return system is a lot better, also a better pump will help. I'm also going to finally put my other motor together and in soon, and put in a bigger turbo, so I'm going to need one hell of a fuel system to keep up with 500whp

500 whp might be a little tricky for daily driving but it sure would be fun.

yeah I need to order the exedy asap. Thank god for quarterly bonus's at work lol. Hopefully have the money together in a week or 2, then the fun part, installing it. I don't have my engine brace anymore, so either I need to rent one and a lift, or just have my friends shop do it, cause I really have dropping the tranny's on these cars

Ya, I would rather build the motor than touch the tranny again. A shop here does them for 250 thank god.

it is heat that kills the motor not power

i don't know if he has head studs or a head gaslet but it might be a good idea for that much boost thats about it though
