put it this way i was pushing 22 through my setup and never had a problem and his 22 is making much more power but also a lot less heat so he won't worry about blowing as long as he is tuned safe.

Dan was pushing 22psi on his stock motor too for awhile. Motor can take the pressure.

I've seen my car peak 23lbs before on a couple nights. Just means I got some restrictions though.

Yeah so far no issues, and my motor is bone stock. Does make a rattling noise from the head occasionally at idle when parked at an angle though. Gonna check into that this week, thankfully I have a spare head though if anything is broken, I wouldn't be surprised though since I"ve been running a 7400rpm red line for 22000 miles now lol.
But new motor is going to be pretty much bullet proof to over 500hp easy, so not much to worry about there, hopefully pick up the MSD standalone when it comes out and be running 8500+ rpm on a gt35r or 60-1 once all is said and done.

arent you worried about floating valves running 7400 rpm on stock internals?

the rattling noise is a common thing. yet the dealer can't "hear" it. go figure.

It might be the tensioner, but it's intermittent. I dunno, gonna tear it down and take a look

LOL no...if heat destroyed motors the 1400deg stock combustions chamber temps would destroy it...not the 200deg iats

I usually let it run for 1-2 minutes before driving more if it's colder

I took it out and played with it the other night but changed too much other stuff and it didnt work well. I need to start with what i got and retune it from there. Hopefully there wont be much rain this week so I can play with it

Heat doesnt destroy motors...Knock does...well Extremely hi EGTs can melt valves too. High intake temps do promote knock tho.

I hope you can get it all figured out and get it work right, caus eI would much rather run s.d. instead myself. But I have it holding a pretty nice level 11.6-11.8 until full boost and it leans out, but from what I've sen in the loigs and the way the motor sounds, it's gotta be the clutch slipping, or I'm spinning the tires at 100mph (which I doubt)

After boost has come in around 50 in 2nd the car will still break the tires loose at 60-70mph on a flat surface in my car. Going to 83mph in 2nd is ftw...I heart my 8200rpm redline.

I still got that weird af hiccup from 5100 to 5900. Im 99% sure my maf is the correct direction. least as far as I remember. Maybe ill have to steal another redline maf and test it. If I could get it to work on maf itd make my day ez but ill keep trying.

and my front left tire keeps going flat

yeah my car gets a bit squirley too once I hit full boost now (22 psi) but I still can't tell if I'm just spinning the tires or if the clutch is slipping. Need to have some one drive next to me that can actually keep up with me lol.

I blew up the car last night tuning...initial guess is a rod thru the block...wont know for sure until i drop the pan tonight or tomorrow. Or maybe a rod bearing...either way it sounded horrendous and made a huge oil slick
