And even make the statement of intended for sc in the info of the item

im gonna go with, there is NO need for a 3 in with your basic bolt ons/tuned car. i had a 3 catless DP and the hahn 3in cat back. it was stupid loud sounded like ****. my buddy had the same set up was stupid loud, sounded like ****, but ran 12.5's........

So as stated before, unless going stupid heavy with the mods then there is no need for a 3 in.
a 2.5 will give you more flow, little more noise, sound better. and not scrape the speedbumps. had my car low enough that my exhaust was only 2 inches off the ground hit a small rut in the road pulled the exhaust apart...

Bottom line get the 2.5 in exhaust

Your powerful arguments have made me realize that I bigger exhaust is obviously the best choice. This is the exhaust I am looking at but I am wondering if anyone has any sound clips of it on a Balt

3" has potential to lose bottom end, but has more potential to gain top end...however all of that is based on how much your flowing, pushing a lot of boost(over 20psi) 3" should provide slightly better gains all around

however if you are closer to stock boost levels(under 20psi) 2.5 should provide a better power band

is that what yall wanted to hear?

i guess comprehension is not one of your strong points or lack of knowledge about this platform or both this is why the search button is a great tool so i will help you he is on the stock ex manifold and a shitty ass down pipe and a catback that is smaller then stock it dosent matter that he is on e85 or a tvs look at what he is doing with what he has a sc car isent as sensitve to ex pipe diameter as a snail car if you still dont get it then maybe you need some remedial classes on comprehension

Okay..? exhaust may not be needed but it would give him better numbers. whats your point your trying to make. theres no proof at all saying the stock manifold and smaller catback is better so whats the point of posting that? i didnt ask if i needed a bugger exhaust or anything. i simply asked for suggestions on what would be a decent setup, meaning im getting something just dont know what would be a good setup. dont know why you had to come in and be a dick but this is a forum where people turn to for help, not to get some wise ass guy to run there mouth at them.

imy original statement wasent directed soley at you so heres the deal a dyno isent the gospel representation of the cars ability you can go to 10 different dynos and get 10 different hp/tq numbers some could be more or even less then what you have from the first dyno so which one are you gonna believe a dyno is a tuning tool nothing more now would his numbers be better with a header maybe but how much better is the question is it going to be worth spending 200 to 600 bucks plus for a header and downpipe go here https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/dyno...thread-194257/ and look in the 2.0 sc all out section and compare other tvs setups to the other link i posted for you you can also compare m62 setups and turbo setups also now the point of posting the link i did to begin with was to give you some good and accurate information to help you weed through the bs so you can make a better decision on your own there are alot of oh i just bought my car and 300 post later they think they are the gods of the lsj world so search read and pay attention it could save your wallet but i will tell you this the modifications are only as good as the tuner who tunes the car

how is this not directly about me? common now. and okay yeah you might be showing that his exhaust will work for 300+hp but im also saying thats who knows what a bigger exhaust will do. I never said i wanted a fatass exhaust or anything. My earlier post i said i was thinking on a badmab header= $160shipped and the zzp 2.5 downpipe= $119. Sure thanks for "trying" to give me valid info but theres better ways to do it then to come in here and pop off. And the 300 post comment? i dont get how i acted like i know anything about the lsj.. haha thats why im on here asking questions?
