How would they know there is nothing to update unless they ask? Some of these thread are from back in 06 and 07 and stuff id wanna make sure the info in them in correct before I go out and attempt to do something on my car. I understand alot of things can be found if you just search but this is a forum for people to come together and share with each other, so I dont see where its necessary to treat people like you do, if you dont want to help them then just dont post.

People care because the same threads keep coming up - People make the same ignorant comments that aren't based on real world testing or experience and blatantly ignore the fact that many people have walked this path already. Why would anyone want to help if they think that their suggestions are just going to be ignored?

The whole benefit of this forum should be learning from the collective experiences that members have had.... too bad there are so many threads like this were people spout off OPINIONS as fact.

To everyone who is reading, researching, testing, and posting..... keep it up. Know that at least one other member is out here who greatly appreciates the knowledge you guys are adding to the forums.

Sorry man this just seems to be the culture of css.net, I got the same **** when I first started posting and if I asked what they thought was a stupid question. Some people on here will still try to help you while others talk **** at you. The info I posted before was based off of zzp's research and development, I don't got any diary of logs or dyno sheets to prove it but I trust zzp to not lie to me about what size downpipe to use, but any of them will work.

Your powerful arguments have made me realize that I bigger exhaust is obviously the best choice. This is the exhaust I am looking at but I am wondering if anyone has any sound clips of it on a Balt

I was making a joke about the whole bigger is better thing and linked to a 5" exhaust.

Everyone started out trying to be helpful and let the Op know that 2.5" is all he needs unless he is goin over 300hp. The mudslinging all happened when Someone stubbornly clung to their misinterpretation of ZZP's description. What they are telling you is that the 2.5 is good for all engines but the MINIMUM requirement for the 3" is being supercharged.
It is overkill for most SC's in terms of performance but is fine as a sound mod if that is what you are looking for.

So explain to me how I misinterpreted "intended for supercharged engine", I understand 2.5 will work if you only gonna light mod but the 3" is still intended for the sc and thats the end of the topic.

I am not trying to be jerk or anything. But let me just ask. What did you learn in this thread that was not in one of these threads?

Besides this! lol

Just guessing here.... but maybe ZZP put this disclaimer so that the non-s/c guys wouldn't try to put the 3" DP on their NA motors as this would have a very negative impact on the bottom end of the power band for those cars?

You are correct though that it would make more sense if ZZP put a recommended HP for each exhaust option.

Really? You can't understand my explanation? I'm sorry but I can't think of any way to make it simpler for you. Maybe just try reading it a few more times and you will get it.

for the shens

heres what too large of an exhaust has done to my bottom end...well whole tq curve really

25*F is how i was able to almost get 15psi out of the 3.35" ...had i run it out a bit higher probably would have hit 15

top is corrected, bottom isnt(cai, ottp long tube-gutted cat, 3x30" res, bkr7e plugs, 60's, stock timing, leaned out a few points...this was actually while i was dialing in the maf so there is definitely more power to be had)

i got a bit of my bottom end back once i added timing

This forum has a "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" mentality to it:

If you have a question and use search, then post a more educated question based on what you read to clearify what you need, you get points on your user status for necromancing an old thread.

If you have a question and do not use search and just ask, then you get flamed for starting a 3rd 4th 5th, ect thead on the same subject.

Im adding this because it has nothing to do with anything, and this thread is just horrid. No one uses the search button, no one appreciates help from members already whove been down this road and are only helping. If you guys already know whats best then why bother asking?
