Removed my S/C twice and the gasket is fine. It's an aluminum gasket with no torque on it so it won't be a problem. Your dealer is trying to pull one on you.

So, now that you have gotten to play with the Stage 2 kit a little bit, heres my question:

Do you have any problems driving without boost? I know stock its hard to do, and am wondering if it is now even harder to keep the PSI under 0.

Thanks, and congrats!

Another Question

Ok so another question but all this info is good... Ok so i was just thinking..... I bought Stage 2, it's on order obviously, so let's say i get it installed and down the road i want to put a SFPH or BF 2.8 pulley or smaller on can i do this or is GM going to have smaller ones since it looks like from what i have been reading that this is a modular setup?

SI only states remove gasket IF damaged. Therefore it's reusable.

I agree it is a little harder to drive with no boost. It seems to always want to boost even 1-2 psi. The gas is very touchy now. You can start that bouncy effect easily so when you guys get the kit installed and you aren't boosting you need a steady foot.

I forgot. THE REFLASH GETS RID OF CEL'S. I put an Injen CAI on before this stage 2 and I had a CEL. I don't anymore but we'll see how long it lasts.

Thats kind of what I figured would happen. And that is fine.

So, is it going to be bad on the engine to be under constant boost?
This is my first F/I car, so I dont know.

Is 1-2 PSI enough to even worry about?

Sorry for the Noob questions....
