I am no GM mastertech and I had my superchatger off/on and swapped plugs in less than an hour, I had never worked on a 2.0 ever and I was taking my time...injectors should be easier...sounds like they included the phone time on your bill, too...I would be wanting some $ back.

I know you are probably tired off people saying you got ripped off so I won't go there.....

It took my dealer 3 hours..... To install stage 2.... cost $156

Just shows you some dealers are making a crap load on their shop time.

Is the redline only upped 200 rpm for a stage 1 upgrade?? Mine is 7000rpms

Congratulations!!!!!

I work at a Chevy dealership...and quoted a customer 3.0 hrs labor for

the stage 2 install. GM also charges the delaership $50.00 for the VCI number

for the reprogram (reflash).

Im still waiting for my damn stage 2 kit to come in and we have had people

call already wanted theirs done.

And our dealership doesnt have a SC pulley remover/installer (had to buy my

own).

Jeff
2005 SS/SC (the only one in tennessee?)
mods but no stage 2 yet

My dealer took 3 hours to do the install.... Dropped the car off at 8 and they called me at 11 saying it is done.

I guess it takes awhile on the phone getting the "secret code" for the install. Plus it was the first one they have ever done. They took it for a drive too just to make sure everything was ok... (that was ok with me I have known the guy for years)

Also total cost for install..... $156

Nothing that I am aware of? The only way I can see is RPM and VSS (vehicle speed sensor) would give you your current gear, when you do the math.

First off i would like to thank God, my parents for the support, the guy on the corner with the tin can, and most of all Boulder Chevrolet in Salem, IL.. lol... Anyway, it's time to give em a call to setup the install...

Mine was shipped on April 5th as well from CED. I had them FedEx it to me 2-day shipping instead of UPS Ground. Should be here tomorrow I hope. If they shipped it FedEx. I gave them my account number. I will call first thing in the morning to get tracking number and hopefully to have it installed on Saturday. CED just got a batch in a couple days ago and all of them were sold because they have people in line so as they come in they are calling the customers to verify info and then shipping them out

I ordered from CED as well (on the 4th) and I see now that it says my order shipped on the 6th. The problem is, I haven't recieved any email confirmation, no tracking number is listed (it was listed on my last order that I placed), and no one has called to verify info with me as you stated above. I'm beginning to wonder if it really has shipped at all then.

I wonder if each individual dealership has the right to either honor or dishonor the warrenty on your car if you get these stages installed??? What if you go to another dealer that honors the warrenty and then go back to your original dealer you bought the car from and then they say you just voided your warrenty??? Maybe that's why some dealers won't honor the warrenty. I don't think I'd talk to the parts guys about it just go to the manager/owner of the dealership and ask them for the answer.

Dealers get paid to do warrenty work. GM pays for the parts and then pays for the labor. The only reason they wont do warrenty work is if they feel GM wont back it. So no, the Dealer doesnt have a right to honor or dishonor the warrenty. They are just being stupid. And losing money for not installing the guys kit.
