It does wast more gas than before, no biggie, but I notice that 2nd gets like puses at low rpm and I have a raspy noise sounds like air getting in that i have no clue what it s anybody get the same. You need the injectors and the flash, a 2.8 pulley will be pretty small pulley even for the 42 pounders.

From what I've read and understand if you put the new belt and 2.8 pulley your IDC's would probably be exceeding 190%. Don't cheap out on car stuff man in the long run its going to come back and **** you either way. Sorry don't mean to sound like an ******* either. Just spend the $800 and get the whole Stage 2 kit. Then if you feel comfortable you can get a smaller 2.8 or 2.85 pulley, just be sure to keep the 3 for warranty reasons.

what are your local dealers charging to put on your stage 2, because i called a dealer near me (maryland), and they said that they needed my car all day and possibly over night and want 750 bucks to install it. Thats as much as the kit and sounds crazy....

Thats what I paid including the flash., but be weary the extra power will reak havoc on your clutch , I learned the hard way do the engine damper and maybe even upgrade your clutch first. stage two puts out cloer to 250 than 240

hey guys, a few questions...I am a GM tech. but my dealership isn't very performance oriented....I want the Stage 2 for my Cobalt but a bunch of people are saying that they aren't getting the power out of the kits like GM claimed.....Are the stock 34 lb/hr. injector's big enough to support a 3" pulley that brings you to like 15psi? Or will you lean out? Only reply to this if you own a Cobalt and have a wideband that you've seen under WOT and you know it wont lean out....also, a couple of guys have listed the codes to call Techline with to get the reflash, but, isn't techline going to know that the number on the instructions has already been used for another vehicle? And, would it be beneficial for me to do the reflash on my stock SS/SC w/o any other mods or will it just waste fuel? Sorry, about all the questions on here, it just won't let me start any threads yet because I'm new or something....you can reply in a PM if you like......Thanks.......

So, if I purchase the Stage 2 kit, which includes all necessary parts, I should be happy with the gains? I have a 2007, if it makes any difference..

and redline is INCREASED to 7000rpm?

I'm just trying to learn.. I want to buy the right thing and not **** myself over.. I see many people have a lot of mods' done to their cars.. like cat-back exhausts, headers, etc.. i just can't keep up anymore..

I work at a Canadian dealer and thats nto a bad price but if you'd like to get it for a really good deal there is a US dealer that has a website and since our dollar is so strong currently, and their prices haven't inflated its the best deal going currently IMO. PM me for the link unless I am allowed to post it here. Don't want to upset anybody.

lol this thread is old and most people probably deleted thier subscription but the 3.0 woulda leaned it out and the s2 flash was specific to the smaller pulley and configured to the new injectors. in reality you could have done either or but neither would have given you reliable power so your quest was completed with the right answer when you got the s2 kit installed

This link is for a place that sells for 588 plus tax USD. I can get one tomorrow from my warehouse in Canada but I'll only be able to sell it for 816.00 plus install if you choose to get it done here. so whoever was asking about 1500.00 its a rip.

Does GM?GMPP update the reflashes ? I hope to get my kit installed in FEB and have read somewhere that some older reflashes were not working so well. If this is just an online thing - then I know every new one is the latest. But if a dealership rarely updates his mainframe- does it pull old info off its' harddrive. I know- dumb question. Be gentle

they should be able to install the latest version just ask em to make sure there is no other update that you need so that way you dont have to drive back

im just going to drop this in here. if you upgrade to any stage that didnt come on ur car when u bought it fromthe dealer your warranty is void i know even if it is a GM part and a Gm tech does it, if u dont buy it like that it isnt under warranty. ive called chevrolet warranty dept and around 6 dealers trust me it isnt or call the chevy warranty 1 800 222 1020

your warranty is only void IF the dealer you go to has a service manager whose a douche. usually a dealership wont care what youve done to the car. now, when your factory warranty is up thats another story. extended warranty companys send out an adjustor to check over the car and if he sees signs of abuse or aftermarket parts, he will deny your claim and you pay for the fix.

if you have a stage 2 kit and your dealer is giving you a hard time about warranty work, go to another dealership.

Due to the fact that I work in a dealer and I have sold several of these GM kits...they ARE covered under your new car warranty. If your vehicle is out of warranty GM will cover the part for a year and 90 days on the labour....I have no clue who you have been speaking to but your information is incorrect
