No it does not void your warranty. Nothing voids a warranty unless something breaks and they can prove that what was done to the car caused a part to malfunction. Now with that said, the DPIC plate is fine, the pulley is fine, and the computer is fine, BUT if you adjust the stage 3 pcm to 8k you will run into issues because someone help me on this number but i believe at 74 or 7600 and up the valve train "floats"? Then you would run into a problem. But none of the units installed actually "void" your warranty

well until i saw the part about the stage three kit removing the a/c and my clutch slipping the other day i was happy with the car. i was considering upgrading the clutch and putting some upgrades on but this car seems to be one big snag. kinda scared to put money into a car i might not be happy with later. especially when i tried to trade it in and the dealer was gonna give me about six grand less than i owe on the loan. dealer said that an aftermarket clutch might mess up the fly wheel and other parts. anybody had luck with any of the aftermarket clutch/ pressure plate fly wheel combos? i wanna know if puttin down more power is worth the time or is it just gonna cause other problems. the stocker slips already so thats out. sorry to jump off track just needed an answer. any help would be appreciated. i think i could get away with havin the dealer installing the aftermarket clutch and keeping the powertrain warranty excluding the clutch but if the clutch caused a problem directly i would have to pay for repairs im pretty sure. i think that is where i should begin before adding more hp. foundation before the house if you know what i mean.

I can buy parts direct through GM at damn near dealer cost. I just found out what I can get this kit for. What are you guys paying for these kits?

ok.........so I've read all 16 pages of this so I hope I'm not asking the same questions.

I've just bought the stage 2 kit, the gmpp extruded honed manifold and the gmpp performance cat-back with straight tip.

I'd like to ask any gm teck here who has installed these.............what are the install times for each of these. I want to know how much time a qualified gm teck feels is right for each of these parts because I want to be fair to the mechanic who will be installing these for me. Also, I don't want to be screwed as a customer.

Also, I've noticed that everyone agrees that stage 2 will not void your warrenty. How about the other gmpp mods I plan on installing???? That's why I've bought only gm parts.

Finally, the reflash............It seems to me that the reflash will be the same regardless of my other mods. I guess you can see where I'm going with this question. I'm going to have one etched in stone tune for this car which won't take into account my other mods, right? What if I have them install the manifold and cat-back first, then the stage 2 and then do the re-flash???

I guess I should note..........I want a gm teck only to reply to my q's. I realize that everyone is getting diff. times and quotes but, I really want to see what qualified gm tecks--- who have installled these-----feel about the install times and warrenties. Thanks!!!!

Wether or not you install the header or exhaust and do the reflash first or last it will still come to the same final answer. It is a basic tune unlike the Intense or simliar kits where you can "dial in" mods. The GM tune is more of a general tune.
Your other question on if the GMPP parts will void your warranty, the answer is no they will not. GM is releasing them after doing many tests before release on many different aspects of the parts. That would be similar to a new food company having to go thru the Food and Drug organization before releasing their product to the company they make sure it will not effect anything negatively.
Still feel free to ask the tech these questions. Its nice to know what knowledge the person has that will be working on your car. You might find that like in my case your the first one at the dealership to be doing a stage kit and they might not be as knowledged as a tech who has done this a time or two before. But it still cannot hurt to ask. If you feel your questions are getting the run around or are not satisfied with the answers I would strongly consider taking it to another dealership.
There have been stories here on css.net of techs telling people their warrantys would be void and whatnot. These are the people you do not want to work on your car.
In the end I hope all works out for you and all your questions are answered to your satisfaction. Let us know how things go for you!

Will a stage kit reflash limit the amount of boost made by the supercharger? For example if i have a stage 1 kit with a 2.8in pulley, will the computer limit the boost to 15-16 pounds.

No, the reflash for the stage kits does not limit the boost, the size of the pulley creates the boost. The reflash tho is calibrated to a certain size pulley tho. Anything bigger or smaller will alter the amount of boost which will set you farther or closer apart to the calibration of the reflash that you have done to the computer.

I know that my dealership has installed a stage 2 kit and I was lucky to be there while it was being done.(I was in for an oil change on mine and another car was getting it done). They let me watch them work on it while I waited for mine. They did indeed take the supercharger off to do it and the teck said it wasn't so bad to do the install. I want the same guy to do mine also but I forgot to ask some good questions at the time. I will go back and talk to him prior to doing my install. I don't think the cat-back would be hard to do for them but is the manifold a difficult install?

You just have to hold on (torque steer) to the steering wheel harder.....

Seriously, nothing else is required, but some type of traction control may be desired.

Just an update, Golden Mile Chev. in Toronto, Ontario Canada installed my stage two for a flat fee of $160.00 CAD. Also, they installed my GMPP exhaust manifold and GMPP performance cat-back for another $215.00 CAD. What an absolute amazing price!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Tom at CED for all the parts..........shipped over the long weekend and I still got it in about 2 bussiness days!!!!!!!!wicked fast!!!!!!!!!

I just got mine installed a few hours ago. man, is there a noticeable amount of torque gain! My redline is now 7k rpm. However, my car has been hesitating slightly at high rpm. Will this go away?

its likely that you have the older tune or the car wasnt flashed have em check to make sure its the new one

The car was flashed becuase the redline is now 7k, and I watched the tech DL the program. It appears intermittent as far as it feeling like its pulling back or hesitating when I'm WOT
