Most of the time a stock one by itself works better than a stock plus front mount.

I have no ac condenser to put the stealth in front of

Havent even messed witht he cooling yet. It seems fine but maybe theres room for moar coolabt in the he still ill have to open up my FILLER CAP and find out! :

Setup is stealth, dual pass, opt b with bleed line from top of manifold. And e85. And tvs is pretty much a cooling mod haha

Use water in the summer, might bring the temps down a few degrees

You still need some coolant in the system to lubricate things and prevent corrosion. But yes a mix of more water versus coolant helps. I mainly do 85%water/15% coolant year round because dessert temps haha!!

Advise is on meth which helps a tons for cooling. Something we may look into soon.

Iirc redline's water wetter is rated for corrosion prevention for straight water, and their stuff does make a larger difference with straight water

Still interested in 06blackg85's cooling setup... He uses a derale oil cooler... I think its basically just like a heat exchanger with a fan but it has a pretty cool design with the flow and whatnot

I thought he was spraying meth or CO2 or something on the HE to help cool it faster? I'm a tad drunk too at typing this so my mind may be making stuff up too

Yep. That's what Time Attack ran.

Water and a splash of water wetter.

This is what I ran in my LSJ. Both in the engine and in the heat exchanger. I used more than a splash of water wetter though.

I changed the engine to coolant before I sold the car. I added some coolant into the HE system as well for freezing protection. The new owner had family a little more north where temps could get below freezing. Adding coolant to it did cause the temps to go up a littly, but not much; maybe 5 degrees.

Unique agent for cooling systems that doubles the wetting ability of water
Rust and corrosion protection allows for use of straight water in racing or reduced antifreeze levels in warm climates
Improves heat transfer and reduces cylinder head temperature
May allow more spark advance for increase power and efficiency
Use one bottle for most passenger cars and light trucks, treats 3 to 5 gallons or 13.2 to 15.9 liters. Vehicles with larger cooling systems should use two bottles. Small cooling systems should use 1oz (3 to 4 capfuls) per quart
Compatible with new or used antifreeze (including DEX-COOLTM and long-life versions) to improve the heat transfer of ethylene and propylene glycol systems
Satisfies ASTM D2570 and ASTM D1384 corrosion tests for glycol-based antifreezes

As to be expected.... Race car vs. a street car.

I know what water wetter is. Used it before good stuff. As long as you have some corrosion protection and lubrartion in there your good to go. As for coolijg though meth kit will make a huge difference in temps are blower. Small pulley guys should consider it.

I used to inject meth but it was too risky. Almost blew my motor once due to the pump randomly deciding it wanted to just start and keep spraying. Definitely great for temp control though. Familywagon do you spray pre or post blower?

We don't use it at all right now. I'm higley considering using it though since our local temps get hot and I wanna stay on a small pulley. I'd spray pre blower though. Talking with a meth head friend, he said you get better atomization and helps cool the blower where the heat is generated.

true i was thinking maybe both; cool off the blower, AND cool off the temps... where the temps matter.

but idk if i wanna start shooting again.

I don't know if eat would be the correct term. I'm sure the method water mix erodes the coating over time. High speed impacts with water is tough on things (water jet cutting)

Spraying through the blower also raises boost. If you're going to spray it, it's the only way to go.

manifold it is then! true on that, last year spraying vs not spraying the M62 went from 20psi to 18.

Why through the mani? So much more beneficial going through the blower. I sprayed meth through my M62 for 2 years and my TVS for 2 years with no coating loss. Regardless even if there was, the water takes up any sort of minuscule space lost by the rotor coating missing if it was to happen.
