more about this Sound Performance tuning shop...

they have been around since 1988

Sound Performance has set numerous records for street legal, full weight cars. First 300ZX TT into the 10's First MKIV supra to run 9.5 with stock Toyota Automatic transmission.... (A record still held today!!!), Fastest full weight supra in the world 8.45 1/4 mile, most powerful daily driven supra-1520 RWHP and now the fastest daily driven full weight Lexus SC300 in the country 9.59@143mph.

Not a day goes by in which the Sound Performance garage isn't crammed with Surpas, Nissans, Corvettes, Mustangs, Vipers and other cars, along with engines being built, turbo kits being assembled, and electronics being installed and cars being dyno tuned.

I don't understand how they could has a reputation like that, and say we can't run 80's... Injector scaling is NOT that hard, and is very common across many platforms.

Good luck.

Ok now hes having an issue...

Says its pumping 90 lbs of fuel pressure at idle and no boost but once he starts getting to boost it drops atleast 30 lbs. Why is it at 90 at idle and low load? Isnt fuel pressure supposed to go stay at 59ish when boost goes up?

Change fuel filter. If still high, restriction is between filter and in-tank regulator.

Yep im fucked now.

Since whatever is wrong with fuel system, he had all these complications with tuning it but pressed forward. The pcm was doing what it had to do (as it likely did before) to compensate for the fuel pressure loss when in boost. So he tuned it for basic driving and no boost based off of the car that was given to him. The final tune, realistically, is based off of what he has made as of now.

So now that we have discovered this issue lies in the fueling system, i need to fix it before he presses forward. And once he presses forward, that requires a completely new tune. So essentially i will be charged for two tunes!

And that is AFTER i figure out whatever is wrong and fix that.

An observation: as ive mentioned before, i never could get my car under a 13.9 with full boltons and DRs and wotbox. Id get great 60's but low trap speeds. (1.8 60's but ~100 mph traps)

Makes you think that car has been slacking in the top end, doesnt it? And this would make sense, if the fuel pressure is dropping under boost, because now the car is pulling fuel and timing like crazy to compensate!

Could it be the regulator by the fuel rail?
