loss of boost, please help

last week while changing the oil (110,000 miles) i noticed a bunch of shavings on the oil pan plug. Never had this issue before, always clean and always change every 5000 with Royal Purple. Well a few days later, major loss in boost. I have a TVS and will boost to over 20psi. now can't make it past 7psi. What are the possibilities.....pistons shot, valve issue. TVS is definitely spinning up just no boost. All blower connections in tact. No other codes, noises or issues.

Time for a compression test. Likely the engine is done if there are shavings in the oil.

Royal Purple isn't GM4718M approved..

I don't care what VOA or UOA says about RP, fact is that it doesn't meet a certain standard that GM has specified for these cars.

5,000 OCI on a true syn was a waste of a lot of money too..
