Question MAF Sensor Bad?

What have you guys experienced with your MAF Sensor going bad? My air to fuel drops to 10 flat, and boggs my power down when I even push a quater throttle cruising at 70 mph on the freeway. Thinking its bad, or maybe needs cleaned? Or different issue? Thanks for any help.

If you have access to a scanner you can read the values of almost all sensors on car it should a voltage or percentage cant remember off the top of my head. If it beaking up under load you have to watch the maf value and see if it changes dramatic at that given load or just dyes out. Hope that helps a little someobe else should jump in here for the technical stuff i missed. I have a $60 obd scanner from mac in my glovebox that shows these peramiters. Interceptor should also.

Before I put my car away for the winter I had an issue with a MAF code. I would be driving the car and go to WOT and the car would fall on its face. It wasn't the meter itself but rather a year in my intake coupler between the CAI and throttle body. Allowing in metered air in causing the issue.
