got a SAE corrected graph? I dont trust numbers from an uncorrected dyno. Now I'm not saying your car doesnt make power, heck it might make more after the correction factor is applied.

nah man, this place only does uncorrected... and that's how all my other dyno runs were done... trying to stay consistant to see the gains with each part installed

I guess if inconsistantcy is constistant for you then I wont argue. but get those injectors in and get the tune fixed so we dont see another blown engine thread. then get some real numbers

Great work Paul. I have always followed your post and much respect goes out to you. As for as the people talking about spool times and lag, they need some lessons. It is just silly to even worry about lag or spool time. Paul has a ball-baring turbo which means practically no spool time. Your A/R also contributes to this. The lower the A/R the faster it spools. The higher the number the slower it spools but you have more top end with a larger A/R.

Anyways back on topic. Turbo cobalt FTW.

you're not supposed to use corrected numbers on a turbo right paul? least from what i understand.. damn paul... this is nuts.. i can't wait to see what you can top out the stock engine at.. you need to blow it .. no ifs ands or butts. gm rated everything based on the m62.. and obviously turbo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>m62

exactly.. who cares if you don't have full boost until 4K .. long as you are building it up to then who cares lol

car makes decent power low end to, even cruising in 5th gear it'll make 10psi by 2500 rpm or so, and that 10 psi > then anything that comes out of the m62... it's all about cfm guys, and this turbo moves plenty of it. tell you the truth, the lag isn't that bad at all, I punch it, maybe get .10 delay in boost, than bam,,,, it's off and running.
as for corrected numbers, if that's what you want, I'll call the shop monday and see if they can put SAE correction factors into it... might be higher, might be lower, but just by the way the car feels compared to the older setup where i made 356.... it's night and day

also on another note, a few guys there dyno'd with the same mods they did last time and made the exact same numbers... so I would say it was pretty consistant with the last dyno day we had.

Congrats Paul! 411whp on stock internals! You are truely a forerunner in the power making department! ******* awesome handsdown! I guess you just made my decision whether or not to keep my twinscrew when it comes back. Make sure you update the dyno thread if you haven't already!

already dropped the numbers down over there lol.
But yeah just wait til I get the fueling fixed.... I expect the car to make a good 430whp easy.. so far the motor is holding up great, now just need to get my other one back together. I may just strip the block down in the car and install the diamond pistons, ARP head studs, and cometic head gasket while the car is down. then go for more power. but it will definitely make 450whp on pump gas with a little more boost and a smooth afr. Car is an absolute animal and will smoke the tires through pretty much every gear. Can't wait to sot it out and hit the track

here's my friend steve's camaro. forgot to take off the speed limiter so the run stopped at only 5500rpm, still made 297/308 woulda hit over 300whp if it got a full pull... not bad for almost a completely stock 98 wth and auto and 87,000 miles
98 camaro on the dyno

the vids of my car are in HD so it's gonna take a while to cmopress them so they can be uploaded. I did't shoot those as my hand was shaking too much (thought my car was going to blow up) but they should be up tonight
