I dont know much about valve float but Ive not ever heard of it because of too much flow, but I may be wrong

I used a 3"maf tube so that I could get a straight section to the maf but I cut the typhoon intake Maf section off and then used the rest to form my upper piping

Good to know! I was curious if the maf seal was good under boost. How close did you have your maf to the tb?

I kept MAF in stock position, I try to move as little around as possible, I like keeping things where the car was designed for them to be, its easier to diagnose issues if you can isolate issues then its easier to fix later.

Well I mean on ss sc the Maf if pre boost on the intake and I moved mine to charge piping to run a bov instead of bypass. Its about 15 inches away from throttle body

Meh you can run a bov with draw through just fine as long as you don't run full maf only.

going to weld it up. im going to have 2 vbands put in. 1 at the dp and one for the axle back. that way no leaks and its easy to take it all apart

Fired her up for the first time since august last night! A few things to fix but overall it went really well!
First start it went lean once residual cranking fuel was gone and died. Added 25% to maf, fired up and after a few seconds smoothed out and was idling in the low 10's.
4 moth old corn was smokesteaming like crazy lol.
I really was amazed it ran that smooth with so much changed. Bigger maf housing and injectors that no one has ran yet.
Noticed bov was wide open, so I'll play with the springs tonight.
Fuel return line was leaking, so I picked up a new fitting that I'll throw on tonight.
With as many things as are still left to tweak, I was AMAZED how smooth the 1200's idled. Dead on to commanded rpm, and zero idle surge.

Things are looking promising

Just need to fix those bugs, get the bumper, wheels, hood, and trunk on and she'll be ready for her turbo maiden voyage

Yes draw through. The maf is 3.375 ID. I'll probably have to go bigger than that sooner or later.
Since we have both maf and ve you CAN run a bov on draw through with a minimal rich spike when it goes off. You just don't want to be engine braking everywhere you go lol.
I was surprised how stable everything was. I'll see if I can get a screenshot of the log here in a little bit.

edit: here's the last quick startup
commanded idle rpm starts at 1200 and drops to 1000. it was just getting there when i realised my return line was leaking all over the floor and had to shut her down.

so do you guys think a cutout would yield any noticeable gains with my exhaust choice? i know the 20g's exhaust side limits a good bit already. the dp is catless too

Lol I was all smiles the whole way home from the garage last night. Most excited I've been in a while!
I still have several days worth of work before it's on the road. Hopefully my box from jp gets here soon and the weather and roads stay clear for this weekend!
