Official Turbo LSJ thread!!!
Raced a 500whp cobra from a 40 roll last night. He got me off the jump because we raced by his rules and his rules said I could not break boost, lol. But the cobalt just cruised on by him around the top of third
And this is why I am considering selling the 252et for a 256et

Once I sell all my SC stuff I should only be about a $1000 off of what I would need to buy the kit. I think I would get the S256ET, or what ever the bigger one is. What are your IAT2's at with a full pull? Like 1-4th... Mine end at like high 140*f
you want 400@ 20psi, S366XL... Its just slow spool. If you want a great powerband, then stop worrying about peak HP and build for the powerband with a nicely sized turbo. the 252 will give you great powerband, the 256 can flow slightly more air itll scoot the powerband over a couple hundred RPMs. I think in the end most of you will be happier with the 256et.
startingline- nice run, I love beating up on Cobras, he shouldve been ok with brake boosting seeing as he couldve done it too lol

I'm not saying the tune is your problem... I'm just saying it's not perfect. There will still be room to grow.
You DO more than likely have a problem. You need to search it out and find it. Have you checked for a boost leak? It costs $5 to make a tester... it's not that hard.
A pre-turbo exhaust leak will also kill spool times.
This.
The MAF should be fine.

Who all actually is or has ran the ZZP Turbo stage 1 or 2 cans? Trying to get info because I plan on running them once I resolve my tune issue or figure out what the situation is.
212/212 duration at .050" with .419 lift
my powerband sucked cause of the giant turbo lol. but now we're running a billet 259 on a .55 a/r with a bigger than the usual turbine wheel. so it'll still have a great top end but a far far superior low end compared to the 262.
as far "my opinion", i love them. but i can't really compare them to anything because when my stock engine blew up. it was about 2 months before i sent it to zzp. the last time i've driven a cobalt other than mine was in august of '10. so, i'm just used to it. same with the clutch and everything else. at this point i think driving a stock cobalt would be harder for me to drive than my own built car lol

you would definitely see some benefits.
no they idle fine. cold starts, and i mean cold as in like 40* air, its rough till it warms up. but driving around they're fine. coming to a stop sign or light or something they won't drop idle and stall out. really nice setup.
