Oil Smells Like Gasoline
you go up there and talk to somebody with auto knowledge.. not a kid with a OBDII or some general manager with "car" knowledge...
take your ass back to the shop and look for the most redneck ****** in there and drag him with you to the service manager you have been dealing with and let him tell the manager whats about to happen to that motor with the bad rings in.. you let him know they can fix the problem now or they can fix it later, either way you are brining the warranty claim to them and having already documented you coming in to fix it.. so they can not play stupid when something finally does give and try to run you in circles... either that... or call GM directly and have them prod the dealer into action

I've had a "Service Request" with GM since the first motor issues. My GM rep won't return my phone calls anyway. Pending issues with GM right now: motor obviously not working correctly, wheels are peeling and flaking, and the leather on the drivers seat is splitting. Not to mention my rattling sunroof that is apparently "normal".
I am starting to think that maybe I am just crazy. The only thing I have going for me is, ummm, everybody besides the dealer can see something is wrong with the car. Even my wife hears the car start and asks what's wrong with it. She knows white smoke is no good.

I do appreciate the offer

your best bet is a compression test...and hell, they could prolly tell you have an issue jsut by pulling the plugs!!! buuuut i dont think they have thought of that...from what you tell me! the plugs should be all covered in carbon and prolly fouled to hell from all the oil
Dude, go the **** back in there, tell them to get a normal running Supercharged balt, and sit them side by side, then give every single one of them a big mushroom tattoo on the face when the differences are obvious.
