..ouch.. haha owned!

I was simply saying I dont need my cobalt to go fast... If I did I could go elsewhere and make it go just as fast as any **** you have out there. But I dont want to spend $10,000+ to do it.

Back to the GN vs your "GP" that car in the vid vs your GP would be apples to apples... I was not comparing my 3.8 against yours... just shows your professionalism=0 AGAIN!

Ok, so you are telling us that it's apples to oranges to compare our FWD GP 3800 against your RWD GN 3.8, but then you proceed to say that apples to apples would be putting us up against a RWD small block V8 powered GN? I can't think of any similarities between our GP and Chow's GN other than they both run 8s.

As far as "professionalism", there is a time and a place for it. However, most people posting on a Cobalt message forum would prefer to have vendors around to gossip with, call out, follow their progress, have emails or PMs answered day/night even on weekends or holidays, etc... It's a different approach, but most forum members prefer it. Acting in a strict, professional manner would mean 9-5, by the book tech support. No one would be contacting the owner or having questions answered after hours. It would be one way or the other, not mix and match.

check the crankshaft when you go to install a new key way, when they break, they tend to take a chunk out of the crank shaft.

Ryan hasn't worked on his car yet. We have been busy with a lot of new projects.

As far as the motor being bad, I think it should be alright. At first we didn't know how there would have been any oil pressure without the crank driving the oil pump. Then I remembered that any time there is significant airflow through the supercharger, the rotors spin. Spinning rotors means a spinning supercharger pulley, which means a spinning crank pulley, which means a spinning oil pump. The keyway is most likely destroyed, but we should be able to come up with a fix for that.

yeah, hopefully its ok. a tad off topic,

on the S256 you guys run, is the turbine wheel the 69.5/61.5 or the 74/64? will the smaller wheel help spool the larger wheel will decrease back pressure from what i understand? which one would be best for hahn kit looking to swap to BW S256

i think i would like the spool over the decreased back pressure, as the turbo should flow fine on a cobalt (as proven by you guys)

is the non extended tip any good? i plan on never running 30+psi or more than 450whp max (stock cams), i would like to save the 400+ dollars and get the non et. @ 49lb/min it should still get me to my goals? you guys are the only cobalts running the bw's and great times too!

I would recommend spending the extra on the extended tip setup. At 15psi it wouldn't matter, but once you get up into the 20+ psi range, there is a big difference.

We run the 74/64 exhaust wheel in a .55 AR housing. It works well, but doesn't spool nearly as soon as the stock turbo.(obviously) I wouldn't mind trying the 69.5/61.5 to see how it compares. If it still works well up to 450whp, it would be nice to gain the quicker response.

swap crankshafts, thats what i did. unless you know a good crank guy that can weld material back onto the crank and remachine it back to spec. i know theres a guy in cali that does.

thanks, i think im gonna try the smaller wheel, the compressor housing on the ett is super sexy also...

do you know what size the gt 4 bolt exit is? 3" or 2.75"? i think you guys are running the 5 bolt exit though? and the comp outlet for charge pipe is it 2.5"?

thanks.

We are using the 5 bolt on the LNF(with V-band flange welded on) and .70AR V-band on the twincharge setups.

I didnt even think of that, but since the housing is SS it will be very easy to just get a 3" v-band clamp flange and weld it on for a mere portion of the cost for a adapter!

I thank you for your time/info.
