Like seriously you guys realise that those cars beat us by more than a second in the quarter mile..... and too all you newbs 1 second is a LOT...

This bs about someone running 13.5 with just stage 2.... the funny thing is you all believe him just because he is driving a cobalt. All you guys believe what you want to believe .... However I cant wait to see some of your facers after you try to race a sti or evo it would be a joke...

Hell I raced a 04 sti with just intake + exhaust + tune this weekend at bud park and lost .

I ran 12.8 with my 04 mach 1 +intake + exhaust + drag radials
He ran 12.7 with the mods listed above..... * unsure about his tires*

Why dont you guys think about cars you could beat realistically with stage 2.... like maybe a mustang gt with intake + exhaust + stage 2.
wow you're late....this whole covo died down till yo got here...lol btw, I've seen a stg 2 balt run a 13.9 its called he can drive so it is beliveable. Remember no car is unbeatble! Just because the car is capable of being fast doesn't mean the driver knows how to make it go fast

big difference no difference yes. also for car thats around 240-250whp thats not bad taking the traction issues into consideration. Once again NO car is unbeatble NO car. Just because I gotta ZO6 does that mean I can run high 11's? No it doesn't depends on the driver.

I seriously dont even need to begin with you people.... its like me thinking my 2004 mach1 can do 11.8 stock... seriously its about as believable as what you guys are stating.

Silly me, I had the Godly Stage 2 Cobalt in my grasp and let it slip away for this monstrosity. Wait a second, I seem to recall another ratio when I traded it....I think I'll call it the number of times to the dealership to number of trouble free driving days ratio. It was a pretty bad ratio for a brand new car, the worst one I've had yet. I also seem to remember the STi being faster than the Cobalt at the time of trade, but you know what, my memory isn't what it used to be. You guys are absolutely right it's a much faster car than either of the two high $ imports in questions, thanks for reminding me. In any event quality played no roll in my trade either, as cheap pleather seats, crappy dash's that rattle and interior peaces that rattle and door trim panels that paint rubs off, leaking sun roofs, weak clutches, and jello motor mounts are all things that a high quality domestic car will always have and a low quality import will not. It's a good thing I still visit this forum to see that I spent $30k for a slow, poorly manufactured car that will have it's ass handed to it by a $20k ruggedly constructed car with a way better drivetrain and about a billion times more potential. I must have been high on crack when I traded my Stage 2 Cobalt for a lowely STi. Thanks guys, I think I'm going to call a Chevy dealer and see if I can't fix perhaps the biggest mistake of my life.

Get ******* real, people don't trade Cobalts in for STi's and Evo's because Cobalts are the superior car.
Wow. Is Jerry Seinfeld on our message board? I wonder how much time was spent on writing and developing the intricacies of this hilarious worksmanship.

I don't know can it? Or better yet can you even drive? Maybe thats why its so hard for you to belive, cause you try so hard to make a good quarter time that you can't do so you bash someone else that can. Maybe you need a driver mod

I wouldn't be surprised if a stage 2 Cobalt ran 13.5-13.9 being that they have about 250-260whp and it really isnt hard to drop about another 200 pounds from the car quite easily putting the car towards 13.5's. No our Cobalt isn't a Corvette Z06 but it certainly can run with EVO's and STi's given a few performance mods. OF COURSE they would rape us on a road course and they are definitely much more suitable for drag racing than ours is but like I said, if we drop in some easy GM mods like stage 2 and exhaust mods and of course traction mods because of FWD we can DEFINITELY hang with them. They are not like an unachievable goal, it justs costs some money to keep up with their stock. But the great part about it is that we don't have to pay an extra $8-9k to be at the same place as them except for the AWD. This is what we are trying to get at here. Some of you underestimate the Cobalt, and yes since it's FWD it is DEFINITELY a driver's race.

If lrk322 even spent 10 seconds writing that up, then it was 10 seconds of his life that he wasted.

Go away ... Jirk322.

Which once again proves that hardly nothing good comes from Canada.

Eh! Take off, hoser!

I think your brain must have been trapped by aliens from the "Evo" dimension.

Do me a favor backward-Evolver, please follow the above advice that I gave to nick ...
