Im not against anything any one has told me
here is a cross section i have of the back holes in a gen2 block.
One is 1/2-13 the other is the 12mm stock size..

There is only .7mm or .027 difference from 12mm to 1/2

there is so much winning in this thread. LOL, that block with those head studs should keep the gasket from failing, i know gm o-ring the cyl when they went over 800 hp but this setup with these head studs sans head gasket should hold to whatever you want to throw at it. I thought I was building my block for more power but you sir are building a tank.

It was Alexx motor. It died a hard death at 347 whp, TVS. I did not install the studs. The motor was pretty much scrap.

I think Alexx block was done by JBP who are less than stellar by rep and when I went there on behalf of rwd victory red a few years ago, i found it was a sad place.

But I still am not sure that larger studs are needed, but good luck to your project. I am confident you will do a really top notch job. Not at all like the one we had to fix for an unfortunate customer.

Gm did it without a problem so i figured there is a specific way to do it..it dose involve a lil bit of money for the first one.

Im gona make a thread with most of my findings in these cross sections of a gen 2 block..
