I agree, but 2-3k is a lot of funds to a majority of the newbies that jump in here talking about wanting big power. I'm not sure what the total cost would be to properly run a TVS 1900, the 2-3k was not saying thats what it would cost.

True

You'll easily put 2k into the headwork alone to make a TVS 1900 work

Machining, Porting + golf ball effect (youtube it) - This alone is over $1000
Larger valves (not the .5+ crap)
Cams
Springs/Retainers

You'll need run a 3.6 pulley, a 2.4L or larger, to attempt to maintain under 21 PSI.

The TVS 1320 on a setup like the above, with 11:1 CR or greater will net 500whp+.

Make the head flow, run as much displacement and compression as you can, and only then will you start making what the K series guys make w/ a blower.

is this true? has this happened before? i thought the TVS 1320 was only a minor upgrade over stock in terms of how much power it can make. what all mods do i need to make 500hp with a TVS 1320? i thought it was the TVS 1900 that could make that much power....not the 1320....

Look at my signature below...

I made 423whp on a TVS 1320, and so far only one other guy has made 440ish on a TVS1320 w/o nitrous as well.

I made a thread describing it.

Yeah...

Especially the blower grind cams available off the shelf.

ZZPs artificially large ZZP S3 is 216/224 @ 1mm and .424/.437 lift, 113 LSA

and

OTTP

S4 222/222 @ .050" .456"/.456" lift 114 LSA

The dimpled port effect in this one comparison video I watched on youtube showed large gains past .500 LIFT.

https://youtu.be/U6v2wpk4mjo

Was talking to Trevor last night... what if... we just went crazy and made a .500+ lift cam.

dimple porting has been around since the 80s and does not really provide a huge gain. at the wheel performance is usually 1 to 2 percent and in the video it only produced 15cfm more over a cnc ported ported port the cost is not worth 3 to 6 hp you get
