I know you guys did haha. I just don't know how safe you guys were doing that. IIRC you all have rebuilt your motors or moved on to new cars

yeah if I end up going through with this and get a TVS i'd rather not have to do a full rebuild if at all possible and still run it plenty safe, no worries of blowing it up any time soon.

Not all of us built out motors because they nuked, though. Some built them because... why not?

18 psi
307 whp. like i said in previous posts, i wasn't trying to push the car to make big numbers. 11.1 afr and 17 degree's of timing to me is not pushing it. IMO it's a ***** tune.

now, when you guys nuke your motors, you usually have to buy a new block as well, right? or is it just the pistons/rods that get fucked. Ive never seen a nuked motor that didnt have a hole in the block, but if you guys are doing it this way, it means your doing it the pricey way...lol

it really depends on how bad it is. IF its HORRIBLE then yes but most of the time its fine to just bore it out .20-.40 over throw some new pistons and rods in and your good .

hmm. i would think either the head or the block would have to get fucked if something broke. rotating metal pieces at high speeds need something to collide with to slow them down, right? lol

hmm... vid of 30 seconds at 8100 redline should do the trick. might break up the pistons and make your work a little easier

Resleeve it with a stocker or close the deck.

If you dont, you just built a motor weaker than the one you previously blew up.
