[QUOTE=victory_red_SS;1110876]Two reasons, 1st because I really love my Cobalt, because it's me. 2nd, I never started out to do the project to this magnitude. Had I planned it to go this way I would likely of used a LS7. As for using a Supra, not my style. It only works having a car I love, not just settling for something to make fast. As for others who say get an already fast car, Vette - Viper, those cars are supposed to be fast but a Cobalt???? what a kick in the head.

man i love your enthusiasm.. i really hope this goes well for you. and i want updates.. ALOT lol... good luck man! keep us all posted!!!

That's great. I was just meaning that if you weren't going for the high HP, the NHRA certified chassis and custom suspension that the cost would be considerably less. Perhaps even to the point where more people could correct the General's design flaw with our cars.

No i dont need anything too fancy at all
rwd... a dream come true...

due to jeleousy. You Canadians, I swear. I thought Americans were bad for putting HUGE engines into vehicles they don't neccesarily belong in, or any other crazy modifications. But ever since I saw CWS' mk2 Golf with a 32v Northstar in it, or my canuck buddies 81 Rabbit with a VR6 swap and Audi TT Quattro drivetrain, I molded a new opinion.
Good luck eh?

A few days ago I did actually have a dream that I was driving my car, well actually I was being chased by the police, for speeding
A little birdie told me Keith's shop starts cutting next week as soon as the wheels show up.

The little birdie just confirmed that first thing Monday morning they start cutting the car.
I am sure the considerable down payment made the little birdy happy, so now we are all happy.

More parts came in.
I have some more parts that are finally in our possession.
The bellhousing is a SFI approved housing that only needs the adapter plate made to match up the LSJ to the T-56.
The second component is a never been seen before piece.
It is our "Supercooler". Basically a refidgerator for the cooling system. This baby will produce more cooling power than a dry ice box, and with no more hassle than flicking a switch.

"EDIT"
We are not going with this bellhousing because we are now able to go with a custom one that is being sent in for SFI approval. The custom one will mate the T56 with the LSJ without an adapter plate.

Yesterday they were busy getting all the glass and rubber off the car. I am not sure if the sawzall actually came out or not.
I will say dealing with Keith Losier (formerly DesiredCustoms now TheAutoDreamGroup) is a real pleasure simply because of the business attitude he has, very professional.
The cooler is an electric device that has several modules behind the large heatsink (yes it is a peltier), which is behind those two special German fans (these are the types of fan used in an Enzo). When the switch is flicked there will be 800watts of cooling power lowering the temps of the coolant going through the intercooler, which itself is another unique component which will have triple the flow over stock due to the eight core staggered setup. Thses are two parts that have been designed specifically for this project.
There will be teaser pictures as we go along. Because of the magazines wanting first dibs we can't show everything but I can show some stuff.
Once we are done there will be video of track runs.
New news on the project.
We are throwing away the PCM and BCM. Because we are going to use a stand alone for engine management and all the wiring has to be moved to the backseat area, Keith has decided that he will re-wire all the car to run seperately so there is no chance of a conflict with the standalone. Keith did this on the DesiredCustom Soltice and it worked flawlessly.
We have a custom Bully clutch being worked on now, which will pair the LSJ to the T56. We are also producing a bellhousing that will match up to both the LSJ and T56 without the need for an adapter plate. Both of these products are also going to be shipped out for SFI approval.
The custom driveshaft specs are done and the crankshaft in in production.
The expected schedule is that the conversion and chassis/cage from the firewall back, will be completed in 3.5 weeks. Look for updates along the way.
