I probably wouldn't bother. I PMed and emailed them a week and a half ago asking some questions cause I really jsut wanted the raised rev limiter and 50% reduction of boost in first gear. Still haven't gotten a proper response. imagine if there was something wrong with the tune when they sent it to you.

We've sold hundreds of tunes and dyno'd dozens of Cobalts. There are no issues with our PCM tunes. We had an issue for a bit where some cars had the gas guage read backwards but it's been corrected. There are many members that have posted with our files and been happy. Some have posted very good dyno numbers as well.

I agree that a dyno tune is best but obviously GM is selling canned tunes and doing ok with their stage 2 flash.

yah but with some people tuners arent avaliable around like me the most compitant tuner is about 3-4hrs away. and thats way to far for me to drive with a 2.7 and 60's lol dont feel like blowing **** up. a canned tune will work until you get to a dyno and get it properly tuned.

i am learning more towards a zzp or cobalt addiction stage kit or intence is there still kicking around.

The problem with canned tunes may be altitude and/or temp related...that's what I heard.

People have problems with the s2 tune which I've never had, I'll know soon because I'm headed far west from the northeast...yikes.

They are an option. I haven't heard any complaints from a buyer on a ZZP tune. Although the best option is to do it yourself.

There were a ton of problems with redlines. Idle problems as well.

x2 i loved mine compared to stage 2 tune...

dont let guys who here **** and post convince you otherwise

put something in your thread like "please dont post unless you have owned one" and that will weed out alot of bs imo

i never had a cell or nothing my car did dyno quite well on there tune also...

I raced a ion redline with a 2.8, zzp tune, and a cat-back(maybe a header and downpipe too but not sure on that). I have intake, header, downpipe, and a stage 2 pulley. He jumped 1/2 car then I ended up pulling 1/2 car.

the zzp tune has the rev limiter at 7200 rpm but timing is retarded like 5 deg after 6800 rpm so the cars acceleration slows down if u go past 6800rpm. We know this because the tune was looked at with hptuners.

It can't possibly be worse than an INTENSE tune...

I just sent my PCM back to INTENSE today for a refund.

I was really considering a ZZP tune, but then I went custom tuned... And WOW what a difference. Street tuning with HP Tuners and a Wideband FTMFW!

most likely wasnt the tune holding back the RL. 2.8 with no cooling mods will kill top end power, and if he was using 42# injectors he was probably leaning out. 2.8 needs cooling and 60s, period.
