ZZP Stage 2 cams. dyno proven difference.
I retract what I previously said about the cams raising the boost significantly. I'd need to test it out on a cooler night to get a more consistent comparison, but I put the 2.7 back on last night to see if maybe I was getting belt slip on the 2.6 (I wasn't) and I did a few pulls. On stock cams and the 2.7 I would see about 21psi by redline back when the boost didnt bleed off up top. Last night I was seeing 19psi by 5500-6k then it would take a downward fall to 16psi by redline. It was about 85-90* out when I did this. Something kind of interesting though. Just from dropping 1 size down to the 2.6 20 minutes later at the same temps it made 22psi mid range falling to 19 up top. On a cool night it makes 23 falling to 20. I will say that after doing 4 pulls with the 2.7 that was enough of that and I wanted my 2.6 back on. Barely noticed a difference when I first put it on, but I sure noticed a loss when I took it off lol usually how it goes.
Pressure and smoke tested to 30 lbs introducing the pressure into the throttle body and fixed the only small leak I had and saw no change. I had it hooked up for 10 minutes and had multiple eyes and ears poking around and found no other leaks. Used a vacuum line as a mic to listen around as well and after I fixed the line coming out of the top of the manifold there were no more leaks. Took the hose off and the system held pressure without too much drop for a few minutes until I released it.
