pulled the rear o2 sensor leads out of the harness. I think this is as stripped as it can get without doing anything too crazy. I also split off the throttle body leads from the other branch it was loomed with, but it was after this picture.

The only thing I dont like is that the injector harness originally wrapped around the bottom of the intake manifold and came across the fuel rail from the passenger side. I might re-wire/shorten it so that it approaches the rail from the drivers side. it is the only thing left on the "branch", and it seems silly to have it make a big ass loop when nothing else is run that way. I just want to cut as little as possible, but I know I wont be happy if I dont

How's the condition of the wires in the harness, especially at the bends. I just had to order an entire rear ABS harness for my car because of damage from who knows what. I knew it had been torn up and the copper was exposed on one of the wires but never threw a code for it. When I installed my 245 tires up front today, soon as I got on the highway it threw a code for that specific sensor with the damage, guess the discrepancy between the front and back was more noticeable on the damaged harness side. Anywho, was gonna cut and splice but I figured let me see if i can just fine a harness section, wound up finding this.

Im curious if im going to find similar wear and tear on the engine bay harness, the loom was completely destroyed on the coil side when I bought my car, and I had rewrapped it with heat resistant nylon sleeve.

Everything looks fine to me. I didnt go over it super fine, but there was no obvious damage or major kinks that would be potential issues.

And ive been poking around the factory tune you sent me. I'm pretty overwhelmed, but i'm getting the hang of navigating around. Is this 100% factory? it looks like the rev limiter is 7000rpm, unless im looking at the wrong thing.

I think you are looking at my file instead of the 2.2 tune lol im looking at 6500rpm on the tune i sent you for the 2.2, it was pulled right off hptuners repository. It's the one with all the numbers.

And you aren't even automatic. That opens a whole nother can of worms. Helps to learn to tune NA first so it isn't so intimidating going SC.

I just want to be familiar enough with the software to make minor adjustments if needed. Not have to bug anyone to make simple changes.

Long term I would like to work up to being well versed in the arts, but for now I just want to not be totally ignorant of whats going on

stay away from the trans stuff when you look at my tune, look at airflow, fueling, spark, etc

Where is the dump fuel like a waterfall button?

I havent looked at your tune yet, just the 2.2 one. I was looking at the wrong thing. it looks like the stock limiter is 6600, but im probably still looking at the wrong thing haha.

I think my mercedes bosch pump shows up tomorrow. really the only thing left I need is the clutch and flywheel, and wire loom for the harness. Of course there will be odds and ends here and there that will nickel and dime me to death, but for the most part I think I have everything down to the bolt

sensory overload haha. I wish I would have messed with this before I blew my car up, but I didnt get hpt until I did.

I dicked around with the nitrous setup with the intention of testing the limits and how different things reacted, without worrying about blowing the car up. I wish I would have gotten hpt sooner and tried to work a tune out. I would have been able to experiment and learn without having to worry. Oh well

Best advice I can give you is dont put too many variables in the equation at once, that means, dont start with a heavily modified engine that needs a fresh tune, and throw E85 and nitrous at it all at once. Tune it gradually. Get the car broken in and tuned on E85 properly before you start blasting it with nitrous. You wanna be sure the car is tuned well and ready for that NOS before you start spraying horsepower into your motor.

That's definitely the plan. I didn't plan on running the spray for quite a while.

I just meant I wish I had experimented with tuning like I had experimented with the nitrous. Get a feel for everything before I started anything major

Start with timing really low so you can dial in your Airflow. It will be hard with the scaled tune/no good base to go off of. Once airflow is dialed in bring up the timing gradually!

One piece of advice for anyone who tunes E37/67 leave the adaptive idle spark tables alone. Otherwise you get surging at idle in park and 2500rpm startups.

I got the bigger bosch pump today. I wanted to see if i could fit my 3/4 hose over the in/out, and it was a tight fit.

People had mentioned using a reducer to take the 7/8 back down to a 3/4, but I wanted to see if that could be avoided (less joints to potentially leak).

My 3/4 hose started over the outlet, but wouldnt slide down dry. not easily at least. I'm sure it can be done, but if you use a tiny bit of lubricant, i'm sure it would go on easily.

Lubricant always helps when you try pushing something into a tight hole. It also helps to work it in there slowly; going to fast may cause the tube to tear open on the side.
