I wonder how an LNF manfold would perform? It's a shorter weird runner designed to be non resonant at engine operating ferquency's. With cams and such I would think it would be ideal.

The LNF manifold wont work properly, it super short runners, its got almost no space(volume) in the plenum and it mounts the throttle body upside down.

Oh....and yes I have the 2.4L manifold swap on my 08. Let me just say this since i dont think its ever been posted : DO NOT buy the CED kit, youll be wasting at least $75. Just by the manifold, and the 2 seals you need. and some vacuum hose.

I disagree with your statement...not everyone is happy with a non-pre-shaped brake booster hose. Under the hood will look better with a pre-shaped hose...will look factory. I tried a plain hose and it looked cheap. And there's nothing wrong with getting all the gaskets...just in case....I'd rather be safe then sorry...you have to wait if you find a bad gasket for example (or accidentally damage one)....my.02!

Thats fine I completely agree with the hose statement, I personally have the 2.4 hose(15855993), but its a technically unnecessary expense, many people would rather have the $50 in their pocket and a generic hose.

And of course there is nothng wrong with getting all the gaskets just in case. I guess its cheap insurance, but again its an extra expense that isnt truly required. Ive made it clear and so have others that you can reuse the manifold gaskets, so i would hope people were being very cautios with them, but yeah if youre ham fisted or have bad luck, buy the extra port seals too.

I bought mine through crateenginedepot.com BEFORE they had the manifold kit. If you call crateenginedepot.com they will sell you any GM part -- you don't have to buy the manifold kit only -- they will sell you just the GM parts you want.
