Weve had discussions about this in the past man, Ive told you before and will now again, youve just gotta go into it with an open mind and be willing to learn. Having comebacks)yo-yos) is part of the job, thats why you need to be thorough and quality oriented, no mnatter how long or short it takes you to fix something it always takes longer to do it twice. I still smile at work everyday and truly enjoy working on most of the vehicles that come through the door. If its the choice for you, youll feel the same way too, every job sucks sometimes, the key is to find the one that sucks the least.

Ill just repeat myself, and say you dont wanna do a Cobalt clutch in the driveway. It takes me about 5hours on average to do a 2.2 clutch with a lift, engine supports, and all the proper tools. I'd rather replace a head than a clutch any day $.02

Yes every job does have its moments. It is how you DEAL with them, and best thing for me was to leave which is not because of yoyos yet how the dealership was. I enjoy working on cars...miss fixing them every day because I love doing that. But I enjoy the management position I have at the job I am at now. Just wish I had more pay. If you are really interested then go for it. Keep in mind you may not have enough time set aside for your car. I do miss having access to a lift like I did though.

40K > 13K any day of the week. I'll be back up at 40K soon enough even if I have to chain fast food chains.

I lost everything and have to start fresh thats why its so low paying. I lost my tools, cars, ex, sons...everything.

And a lot of places won't hire you without tools and I can't afford tools and my cat pissed on all the ones I have now. I just have a cheap set from walmart to get me by.

You have to have a good tool if your in that field. Craftsman works good, but they wore out in the long run and had to be careful on getting warranty done. So I went with Matco. I had a 15K note with Snap-On(Strap On).

A lot happened to me at once personal and financial side. I had everything a guy could ask for...then pretty much over night lost it all. It took about 3 months, but it felt like over night.

Just NOW getting on my feet and still struggling on a few things.

exhaust and a header will kill your low end. That could be an explanation

Fully bolted I could squeal my tires and they were almost bald. 2.2L as well. The big thing was I rarely did it unless I was racing at the track or pulling out quickly(blind curves and hills so I'm up to speed ASAP).

I mean I couldn't squeal AS LONG but I could do more than a chirp.

Yeah, my car, 2nd gear on highway entrance ramps I have to feather thr throttle because it will just blow the inside tire right off if you let it break loose and spin.
