Huh? $400??

I'd be surprised if it was over 100. People here are really reasonable, this isn't a performance shop or anything. It's just a muffler shop. If I pay $400 it's because I got a whole system out of the deal.

Nope. I'll run this 2.25" SS exhaust for now, and probably upgrade to 3" when I get above the 250 mark.

No sense in running 3" if you're not making a lot of power imo.

Yeah I hear ya. Probably would be, but right now I'm trying to keep it low key.

Gotta be a sleeper for a little bit at least. Right now my ss exhaust is near silent at idle.

Haven't heard from my exhaust shop, I hope they didn't take it for a spin.

Yeah, just in case some idiot took it around the block I loaded the tune. Should be fine, if it's still in one piece. Probably explains why they haven't called yet, lol. It's probably smashed and they're freaking out, lol. I should probably call to make sure.

I called them and they are still working on it. They said they ran into some kind of problem with the flex pipe or something. I have no clue why it has taken this long. Good thing I called them because they were going to leave at 5. Gotta hurry over there after work.

Yep, car is back in my hood. I gotta fix a minor oil leak first, no oil at all in it right now.

What do you guys suggest for fixing leaks? I thought about just taking the taps out and putting jb weld on the threads. Maybe that rtv stuff will be better. The exhaust work could have been better, it's not the right diameter pipe I wanted. I might start it tonight for ***** and giggles and to check for leaks. Stay posted, I'm going to try and get a camera.

(that's not me btw)

****, I stopped counting after about 3 grand. I guess I could total it up, but I would say around 4k. I did a lot of unnecessary things, like the intake manifold for instance, that's for when I build the engine. Turbo was expensive as well as the other top notch parts from vulcan, but all in all it's a sweet build and worth it. Once I build the engine's bottom end, the thing will be a monster. Turbo doesn't start to run out of breath until 500 hp.

Hahaha looks nice, yeah I overkilled with the intake manifold too, but it just looks so much better with it on :p

And for the leak use teflon on the threads and make sure u use the little ring thing that came with the autmeter adapter, I lost mine when working in my radiator hose, now I leak oil, need to look for, it helps it seal, or get a washer

Yeah, 2.5". 185 after labor and everything.

I'm letting the RTV sealant cure, which takes like at least 12 hours right? I put it on about 10 am.
