i may have to look into an elec cutout...would be interesting placement considering my collector is all the way under the car :P with having a long tube header it would have to be right down after it hits horizontal

That was a 4th gear pull.

One note tho on placing the cut-out so close to the collector is that is not a very good idea.

You want some distance between the collector and the cut-out (think collector extensions on old V8 cars). A good rule of thumb is you want 18-20" between the collector and the cut-out.

I will also be running the AMMFAB long tube header once I get my new motor in so I will have to move the cutout farther back....there is enough room under a J-Body to do this. I'm can't remember what it looks like under a cobalt, even tho I have been under my buddies probably close to a dozen times...haha.

Google "collector extension" if you want to read up on more info....it is mostly V8 stuff but it still applies to any motor...I think I found a decent HondaTech link once which was pretty good.

Here is a pic of current set-up....please ignore my ghetto rusty exhaust.

Its time to focus on other things in life and get some bills under control/ move out and such...
I will keep working on the car over time, so if anything big happens ill drop back in and update...but other then that...probly wont be around so much. If you need something or have a question of need parts feel free to email me (click on username on the left) or if you have my number drop a text or call.

Im not giving up on the car of the build...just removing myself from the addiction that is these forums that make me spend lots of money on the car hahahaa.
