I've heard that the stock harness for a 2.4 will also work for the 42's but i cannot confirm this.
i thought that the injector harness from an ecotec cavalier allowed ss/sc injectors to be plug and play with the 2.4, which would make me figure that all injectors that fit the lsj (42's and 60's) would work with that harness. if that is incorrect please let me know.

the harness from the cavi will allow you to use the LSJ injectors (which are obsolete for this setup) and the GM version of the 42's. Basically it will work with GM injectors.

If you go with aftermarket 42's or 60's you'll need a bosch style injector clips. You'll have to cut and splice them.

i see, thanks for clearing that up. now when you buy aftermarket injectors they come with the clips correct, or do they have to be purchased separately and if so where are they available?

well they are seperate, but most websites that sell the aftermarket ones will also sell the clips/harnesses.
