Cobalt Le5 Gas Octane Requirment??

Here it is, straight from the horses(manuals) mouth, so you can all stop with the

"what gas do they recommend for my SS N/A?!" or "where does it say to use premium!!! I never saw that!!" or "Nobody recommended Premium for the Le5!!"

I scanned this RIGHT FROM MY BOOK

Let's hope this works, haha.

I can't believe all the questions on this when it's right in the cars manual.

people will still fight about this, cause they think they know more than the manual.

if you read under the red, it says you CAN use 87 but will get slower acceleration and increased chance of knock

Why use it then?

If youre in a pinch then I can understand, but you should use the recommended gas.

AGAIN, 87 CCAANNN be used, but for anyone who wants to bicker about the RECOMMENDED octane THERE IT IS, straight from the manufacturer!

Its like, someone who buys anything over LT is generally regarded as a "car person" and someone who cares about there car, so if you buy an SS, EVENTHOUGH its NOT a boosted varient, why not give it what it deserves? its only a few bucks more per tank anyways, you probably waste that money on dumber crap as it is...

We get 93 Octane on post but there's 10% Ethanol. I have yet to find the right location to buy the right octane for my car. I have never seen 95 octane in my life from a gas-station.

I tried Shell's fuel and it seemed my car could push a bit better but I wouldn't say it was a huge "absolutely changed my ways" type of gain.

Modern cars can run fine without issues on below recommended grade octane fuel...manufacturers realize that people may not follow instructions and don't want customers to come in with blown motors. The computer may sense some knocking, it will retard timing so you don't have severe issues but you will lack some power.

But like stated, use 91 or higher like the manual stated.
