LNFs work well on E-85 mixes as long as they are tuned for them. E-47 alone on an aggressive tune can add 30 whp and 30 wrtq. The biggest percenatge gains I have seen on an LNF with the stock turbo was going from 230 whp stock to 350 whp (52% gain) but that includes E-47 tuning.

Cobalt dyno'd this weekend and put down 308WHP and 322WTQ. He had e-85 and a tune, mechanically stock.

I predict 171WHP with good tuning, and some interesting AF adjustment

The Ecotec 1.4L turbo engine (RPO LUJ) with variable valve timing is paired with either the M32 six-speed manual transmission (RPO MZ0) or the Hydra-Matic 6T40 six-speed automatic transmission (RPO MH8).

maybe this helps anyone who had some questions in regards to which transmission would be used.

Performance wise yes. But not what it was built for. Cobalt performance in the Cruze would be a win haha

Here's some numbers from the stock tune:

Commanded AFR @ WOT (PE Mode): 10.3:1
Commanded Ignition Advance: 8*
Sustained boost: 15-16psi
Wastegate %: 74% of maximum potential
Engine Coolant Temp: 221*F
Looks like theres plenty of room for tuning.

Im really thinking of going to E-85 since it is right down the road at Sheetz. Mines at 340 whp and 370 lbs torque right now. What do you think I could gain ?

I don't see why you would choose an automatic though.

The LTZ trim only comes with an auto no manual option IIRC.

What happened to getting those pictures?

I hate the Cruz with an undying passion. Makes me feel like GM is just shitting on the people who bought Cobalts(LS and LT). They come out with a much improved car for the same price. Means they raped us on ours. They will KILL the resale value of base Cobalts. The only ones worth anything now will be the SS's. I'm sure I'll get F-ed when I trade in for something else.

Bingo. Only way to get a manual right now is to get a base ("LS") Cruze with the 1.8 in it. makes less torque than the 1.4 cuz its not turbo'd

360whp and 410wrtq is probably the most you can get out of the stock turbo on E-47 without cams.

I keep seeing E-85 all around on this site, I know what it is but tunning for 85 would make more power than 93? O and i tried to search for someone you sales 85 around my area, haha closest is about 45 mins away.

Ah, well that makes sense.

I just looked and it looks like automatics are only available on the turbocharged editions.
