Sorry I just meant that as everyone under the sun just gives up on their blowers and goes turbo. Buuuut SC vs Turbo could go on forever and that's not what this thread is about.

Rallyyellow when I first bought my Balt I said to myself "I just want it to be a little faster than stock" lol. So an OTTP Stage 2 has lead me to where I am now. Good ol snowball effect! Not many people buy an SS/SC and say screw it I'm ditching the blower and going turbo. I'm not regretting what I've done and where I'm going at all. Personally I think going turbo is an easy way out. Will I break records no. But ill get props for a fast SC Balt and appreciate that more.
Hey bro, I don't want to add any negativity to your thread. That wasn't my intention...

Projekt didn't read my post properly but it's OK.

It's not like you're going down with the ship. If you seem to have some other insight on the matter then please inform us of our ignorance!

Well if that "Ship" goes down every canadian worker in that factory wont have a job. AND ITS A BIG FACTORY.

Not to mention all of the jobs lost by anyone who works for GM canada...

I don't think you understand very clearly how global trade works.

Umm The gov't of Canada and the gov't of the province of Ontario did help bail GM out big time. Google it.

You are going to go faster than high 9's or make 900+whp on your TVS set up? Lol. I know what you mean though. Go faster than most turbo guys on here like zrated would be a good feeling.

On a plus note ZZP contacted me today and my cams finally showed up! So they will be sending out my cams, NBS, revised shifter brackets (figure upgrade them while i'm in there) and new flywheel bolts. Head is getting sent to euthanasia this week for the works and valve springs. And I talked to kxrida last week and he said the motor should be able to get shipped out today or tomorrow. Fak I hope so...

How you planning on shipping the head?? So far I have a decent size box, two extra layers of cardboard in the bottom and the bottom ducktaped so it doesnt break through. What are you putting in the box just bubble wrap?

Haven't gone that far yet. But it will be bomb proof when it's done lol. For sure have the whole head surounded in styrofoam.

If I can't break out of the 12s on a race gas tune and my new slicks I'm burning my car to the ground.

The ONLY thing I could see holding you back would be the size of your slick... a bit large (thats what she said)

Well cmiller ran 24.5x8.5 and mine are 25x9. Don't think 1/2" is going to make or break me. The radials I run now are 26x10.5 lol. Now that's big!

With a 1.70 60' instead of the 1.85 I pulled on my 26" slicks on stock cams I would have most likely ran an 11.9, so even on tall slicks its possible.

A smaller tire is nice to get you down the track faster but you also want enough sidewall for good traction. But I'm no slick expert.
