smoother fuel delivery in the rail. no dead spots so to speak, or air bubbles. think of it like dynomat for a fuel system.

Prevents pressure oscillations in the rail cause by injectors opening and closing by providing a small buffer before the regulator. Also should make regulators job easier.

That's the plan. I am there with the 42s now. +/-4% on trims across the board with 14.7 even at idle and decel, no bouncing at all with AC on or otherwise. Hoping for the same with the 60s.

well I do have one sitting here on my desk, might as well put it to use.
Mine has a little vaccum nipple on one end and it looks like it's supposed to have 2 screws holding that part in place, I'm guessing that's the pulsation damper.

IIRC thats something to do with the stock cavi return setup...I need to look at mine again but i think you need to unbolt that piece and bolt the lsjs pulse damper on there

ah ok, I'll probably end up doing this over the weekend, or sometime next week. I sold some extra things I had laying around for $1200, so that should cover my whole fuel system lol.
which pump you reccommend, I was gonna go with the walbro 255hp, but I"m open to any suggestions.

i would recommend doing a thicker topend o-ring in the regulator.

I understand how it would work in the system, but it was my understand that in having a normal fuel pressure regulator designed for a return-style fuel system, the FPR would be designed for this. Honestly, I could even envision circumstances where the two would act in negative ways against each other.

I concur! Even know I don't have the F20B in any of my rides that's a badass swap. I'm a half Honda guy for that matter and love my Teggy! Is it bad that I managed to make my Teggy faster than the Cobalt already?

Indeed it is. Haha.

There is a guy with an H22 Prelude in my town that Turbo'd it, but decided he didn't wanna sleeve the block (a must on the H22)... so, he's only pushing 8psi out of his GIANT 60 trim turbo. He must only be making like 220whp... cause I ABSOLUTLEY RAPE that car.

He only gained like 3 car lenths over his Stock N/A speed. Waste of a 60 Trim if you ask me.

BUT, there are some fast Honda's out there and especially in this town. We've got a EK hatch with a GT32R strapped to a B16... he makes 410whp. Got a del Sol with a boosted b16 making around 400-450 or so. And then we've got a DC2 Teg with an H22 swap. He DID have an Innovative GT72 making like 450+whp... but now he's going with a different setup... aiming for 550-600whp, IIRC.

There are a quite a few other boosted Honda's in town as well. Boosting Honda's is the THING to do in this town, evidentally. I need my TVS so I can rape them all... except for the above mentioned 3! Haha...

FYI: Keep this thread going!

It does sway a bit off topic...but

- Everything is pretty educational.
- Flaming is minimal.
- Area47, Witt, SJSchafer, and a few of the others on here, REALLY know their ****!

Keep it going...this is better than watching season 2 of LOST on DVD!

Also correct. If you left the cavie on one and connected a vacuum line like it should be, that damper might not like boost.

I found a bigger percentage of cobalt owners are dbags and ricers imo than import guys.

Scientific like survey said so.

I was pondering the thought of placing an inline pump between the stocker and the fuel filter. I think the next time Dan and I get bored and take a drive to Summit again I might pick one up.

I'm thinking about sticking it out with the returnless for a little bit. Call it laziness.

i find that this is 99% correct. a search function told me so

you do not have to run a dampner with a return fuel system.

You dont have to...but i was reading a small snipet talking about how it helps with noise and flow oscillations.
