Either way, as I stated before....

That is the plan for my cage as well.

I know its a really low quility photo, but here is the Nova I was talking about. That thing was so awesome! My dad never (ever) ran it ***** to the wall, but its best run was 10.27@127. It had a 355 SBC on methanol, made 550 hp. So awesome, too bad my dad sold it. I sure miss that thing, but I think its where my attraction to yellow cars came from.

Yeah, pulley was 100, intake was 150, injectors/harness was like 270, exhaust... $0.00

Everything after that I did on my own and cost me like $20 in hardware from home depot. As for the build, rods is the only thing not free so far, oh and the cam blank.

I know its super low quality, but its just to provide a rough example of what we did today.

Here is a small portion of the shaving, that is a chunk of the shavings that I pulled out of the trash.

Before today

After today

We still need to do the knife edging and balancing. Using a really inaccurate scale, before we started it was 33ish lbs, and after it was 29ish. Subtract another 1 or 2 lbs for the knife edging and balancing.

Thanks! Ya we took a good half inch off the counterweights. We would have taken more, but the cutter was starting to hit the rod throws, so we had to stop. That crank after its been knife edged and cryo frozen, will be good for over 700 horse.

700 is nothing to sneeze at.
Have you got your rods yet?

The one thing I have learned during my project is that right away, means anything but right away.

I don't know, CP Pistons was pretty good about being speedy. They said the pistons would be ready to ship in like a week, and I got the pistons 5 days after that phone call!!!

5 days for pistons? If those were custom pistons that was a miracle.
I waited 4 months for wiseco to come up with my pistons.

No no no, I mean they said the pistons were in the final machining process, and would be ready in a week. From when they took my info, to when I got the pistons, it was prolly 5-6 weeks, not too bad IMO.

So, I was sitting in my room after work, playing Halo 3 when I hear a large diesel truck pull up to my house. As I get the door I hear my dad say "Thanks a lot, have a good one". Then he turns around, and in his arms is a box

Apon further investigation of this box, there is a smaller box inside

Inside that box, are 4 smaller boxes! Inside those, is THIS!!!

Here is the new, compared to the old!!!

THEY HAVE FINALLY COME!!!!
