I am not quite understanding the question.

I made some headway in the tune. I got the car to stop trying to drop RPM below idle when I either push the clutch in or going into neutral when driving. Idle has improved but has its ocassional has hiccups. A quick rev of the throttle fixes that. Also it still idle hunts a little.

That is kind of what I was thinking. I am a lsj. No cam control here.

Well I re timed it again from the top (not taking the timing cover off) and stuck the Borascope down there to see if the pink link is in line with the white dot. Well the spot where the dot is on the gear was too close to the timing cover so I couldnt really see its position.

So I am going to pull the balancer and see if I can get a side shot of it to see if the link is align.. Once I have done that and made sure it is in perfect timing then I am going to tune some more. If I cant get the idle to stop hunting and surging I am going to put the stock TB back on (it will be here tomorrow). From there I will just get the idle as correct as possible and leave it at that. If there is no hesitation anywhere and the idle is a little messed I will deal.

Now I have a camshaft crankshaft correlation code. When it starts after a little I get a high idle code. I had this in the beginning when it first started. ugh. This is exhausting.

Well I change the cam tuning a bit and tried starting her. It was a little rough in the beginning, damn cam/crank correlation, then it started to idle! I got the car to run for about 13 minutes or so and it was not hunting or surging. So I turned it off to fix the trims a bit go to start it. Cranks but no start. Give it a little throttle and started (gotta change the cam sensor around till it fires right away) but this time it went for about 20 seconds and started to fall on its face. Try a little different timing and change the cams a tad. Tried to start and it wont. I am going to wait till it cools down and switch the sensor. It is progress.

Got the stock cams in. Drives great other than random surging at idle. Just tuning the trims right now. Try to mess with some other stuff to get it to run perfect.

stock. When it was surging (its not a huge surge like 100-200 rpm) I got a P code for TP sensor activity. Never seen that before.

Update?

Well I still get hunting idle with negative timing when the idle falls when hunting. I am trying to figure out if it is timing or tuning issue. I have tried a lot with the tune and can seem to get it. Trims are with in reason so not too sure. Worse comes to worse I just re time it. See if it fixes it. I am installing my WB this weekend, I hope, so I am going to see what the AFR looks like. Probably not good. lol. We will see.
