I always hear people complaining that there aren't any nice aftermarket LED tails for the Cobalt sedan, so I'm working on a little project, just for fun

This would look awesome with a clear smoked lens over it, but for now all i have is red smoked. Stay tuned for more pics when this is finished and in the car (not mine)

I'd be all over a set of those if I owned a Sedan!

How many sets of K2 LED coupe lights had to die for this?

They do look nice.

I'm trying to keep these affordable, so I'm using only one set of K2 coupe lights and trying to use the stock sedan fixtures.

So I have installed 3157 Switchback White/Amber LEDs in the front headlights with 50w 6 ohm resistors and they work fine. However when I went to do the same exact thing to the tail lights with white/white 3157 LEDs and the same resistors the driving lights don't come on for the LEDs, only on and off with the clinker on or with the brake on, how do I fix this?

Heres what I used

Front:

3157 switchback white/amber

resistors

Tail lights:

3157 switchback white
CUTEQUEEN TRADING LED White 3528 54SMD 54-SMD 3157 3457 3057 4157 LED Switchback Turn Signal Lights : Amazon.com : Automotive CUTEQUEEN TRADING LED White 3528 54SMD 54-SMD 3157 3457 3057 4157 LED Switchback Turn Signal Lights : Amazon.com : Automotive

and the same resistors

Many 3157 dual filament LED bulbs are orientation specific. Meaning you have to insert them into the socket a certain way. Try turning the bulbs around and testing them again.

They only turn on when inserted one way. I tried.

I did...but I don't want HID fogs anymore. Two of them burnt out...lol. Blue would look decent maybe, what about purple?

Stay away from blue/purple. It's a totally useless light color, especially in poor weather. Stick with OEM color. Yellow's not a bad choice either.

Yellows actually the best when it comes to cutting through fog.

Murdering car....the stock headlights have to go.
I don't care about HIDs or LEDS....just want dark...

Are there darker and better options than these? please let me know...

I was thinking these:
Lights & Bulbs - DEPO Projector Headlights (Chrome or Black) 05-10 Cobalt

Or these..

Lights & Bulbs - OEM Style Black Housing Headlights 05-10 Cobalt

Do you guys know which ones on our cars are darker looking...?
Any pics on a dark car I can reference?
