Hey guys, I haven't been posting much lately due to being very busy with work and school. Lately, I have hinted that I was planning on dipping the balt. Well, today was the day! with help from a good friend we got it done. It came out really good and took about 7 hours with prep and cleanup. I also went wingless during the process, Enjoy the pics, and let me know what you think! now, onto the pics.....
The before....

The During.....

And, the final product!....

And a pic of my buddy's sick benz who helped me with the project....

This was done with cans, and you could not pay me to do it again by hand lol, got alot of interesting comments from the neighbors as they passed by throughout the day, but it really came together nice, now im ready for the summer!

Im just going to buy the full kit soon. Cans get so tiring, because if you are spray at any angle at all and the can has like 1/3 left in it, it gets all spotty and cant maintain spray pattern.
Damn Bro that's the best plasi dip car I've seen by far, wouldn't of been easier if you would of got a white SS/TC instead? lol j/k
If you where running from the cops, you cool off somewhere and peel off that plasti dip they never know lol

lots of imperfections. and not really feeling how you did it over the badges on the doors. or the key whole on the trunk. i mean.. just looks like a plastidip "paintjob"
I'm actually surprised it came out good. Even though I can see uneven painting as you do the coats. You do know that using plastidip in cold weather makes the paint look like crap since the bottle freezes and it shoots out drops of paint rather than dust. Working outside and being from NY I would have waited for better weather (~65-70 degrees at least) for the paint to be full quality.
I know this out of personal experience. Tried to paint my front bumper bar (where the Chevy emblem is) at about 30-35 degrees out and the paint threw out drops I thought it was a defective can so went to buy another and same issue. Ended up putting the can under hot water and then it went back to dust paint. Now I realized how important temperatures are for those people who work with paint outside. If you have a private garage that's another story.
I've been waiting on sunny warm days as well now that I have the SS bumper so I can do the Evo mod, the bar, and brake calipers color matched to car.
But yeah good job, even though I still believe it would have been better painting in warmer temperatures. Pretty awesome. Let us know how it goes dirty-wise and how the paint holds up.

To each their own, like I Said I'm not done yet it still needs a few cans and we did warm the cans up before using them so they sprayed out even, all I have to do is peel the ss and it comes right up I'm thinking of doing it black, and I don't have a garage or anything so this is where it had to be done. I've always wanted a white coupe now I got it lol, I'm happy with it with a few more cans it will look perfect

When I came out this morning, it was fully cured, covered alot more then these pics show as this was right after we were done, yup, just a few more small touches and it will be perfect plus I can always just peel it right off lol
i like the fact you tried to do something different then the rest..... i even dont mind that you did flat white.... the car would look awsome if it wasnt done with plasti-dip.... however the mods comments and a few others here have said it looks cheap or like some one took a paint roller to your car.... i completely agree with these statements..... i would have wrapped it in 3m 1080 flat white vinyl.... the results would have been way better........
