You do know about the possible consequences of dipping fresh clear coat that hasn't had a few months to air out all the chemicals, right?....

As in possibly hazy clear that will need to be re-buffed or re-done?

I seriously just pulled the last bit of masking tape off and backed it out of the garage for the pic. haha
Tires are cleaned up now. Usually when I take pics the car is spotless, I was just anxious to share.

Just gotta wait for some nice weather and I can take the big kid camera out to get some nice shots! haha

I got to this color by starting with a gunmetal gray base coat.
Then I mixed a gallon of matte clear and gallon of glossifier together along with 100 grams of Radiant Red pearls.
Added about 1/8 gallon of standard black plastidip and a full red tint bottle to get it where it's at now.
Probably could have done without the last two additions but I wanted to see if I could adjust the color a bit.

actually I just moved to Fargo recently and we're ordering a car kit and the ST and my Balt will be fully dipped soon.

 

Won't be doing it for another month or so after we put them on so hopefully it should be alright by then, if not then oh well the dip will look good

 

they recommend a seasoned paint job, atlest 6+months

 

Oh well lol hopefully it doesn't come out horrible/completely ruin the clearcoat then

Swapped to my new hood and dipped it in white to match the rest of the car.

 

How many cans roughly do guys think it would take to do 4 wheels ?

 

I got away with 3 but id get 4-5 to be safe. I got 4 for my next color.
