I'm also curious. How is the quality of the TYC and DEPO stock headlights? I'm considering buying brand new headlights to do my retrofit in. My stock headlights actually do have a slight tint to them. I want headlights with no tint on them. Also, I can't get over how much brighter the EvoX-Rs are compared to my Mini H1s that have 2 year old bulbs.

I decided to custom make a relay harness that taps into the DRL fuse slot so I can make my LED halos run off that when I get them for my new retrofit. So the halos will only run when in DRL mode. Really no point having them run at night and blind people.

Really doubt you'd blind anyone with halos. Factory BMW and Audi halos and LEDs are very bright and I doubt they blind anyone.

The halos are going to be behind Apollo 2.0 Flat shrouds. If they don't seem too bright to run at night, I'll stick a diode in the bottom fuse slot of the fuse tap and that should keep the relay to the halos energized even when the headlights are on. I'm mainly doing it this way to retain as much as the automatic feature a possible so I'll never have to touch the headlight switch, ever. I'm just weird that way, I guess. Very OCD in preserving OEM-like functionality. So when my new TYC headlights arrive, I start my retrofit.

i think when i build my murano retros, that im not even gunna sell these. might just buy new housings and slap these in there. my next set though isnt gunna have all this auxilary lighting. kinda got over it real quick whenever i had to remove the headlights and the longest task was disconnecting wires lol

Well, a diode in the bottom fuse slot of the fuse tap will keep the halos on with the low beams at least. They'll still go out with the high beams, which is fine. You won't be able to see the halos with 6400 lumens of HIDs in your face.

My TYC headlights just now shipped and my shrouds and halos are backordered. I'd rather have TRS wait and get the more reliable LED drivers anyway.

why do you care that the halos turn off with the high beams?
