I assume when I do it I am removing the top plug on the stock h/e and leting it run until i see a steady stream of coolant and not it swelling up and out then back in right?

but yes, the plug on top of the stock heat exchanger is a bleeder plug.
From my personal experience when I added my dual pass, h/e and option b I didn't really notice any drop in IATs after a pull but found the temps to recoupe much faster. What I meant by that post is people are saying 160* after a pull is too high and that's why it's knocking where I ran those temps for a few months with no issues. When I drove mikes car after you tuned it down the highway the temps were at 150* and went to 190* after a pull. I told mike right then and there something isn't right. He found the pump not to be coming on which is what I kinda thought, smacked it with a hammer and it kicked on. Then started seeing temps like 105* down the highway and 160ish after a pull. But the car still continues to knock like crazy.

GM tunes start to pull timing when IAT2's get to around 140ish.
I know Vince is very conservative with his tunes so I have no doubt in my mind he kept a lot of the fail safes as they are from the standard GMS3 tune.
160*F after a pull is rather high, and if Vince is correct about the 200*F IAT2's than its no question as to why his car is pulling so much timing & seeing KR.

I also felt a noticable power decrease at the top of 3rd as well.
Well looks like there is a lot of air in the system let it blled for like 20 mins and all it did was bubble. Man I thought I had done a good job on that before.

cant do it tonight got a movie date. but maybe tomorrow. I wanna bleed more as I only had a bit of time at work to do it. and also drive around a see if it helps the KR3 if not no sense doing another data log if we still have the issue right?
Truthfully Mike said he saw 180 IAT2 temps.
I don't think Vince is going to make numbers up. My guess is it peaked somewhere high of 180's-190's and he generalized it by saying "someones iat2 temps hitting 200* is not normal"
