no - that was the price off Rockauto;
even if the price is what, 25% higher would that be a big deal? ~ I figured you could make it really easy by phoning autovalue, telling them you wanted pricing & availability on "Delco #41106" plugs that you would be able to get pricing really quick, without some r-tard asking if your car is a sedan, or if it has ac...

FYI: I prefer to buy OE parts when ever possible - and avoid Champion like they carry the plague...
(they are the only spark plug manufacturer who has had to (several times over) admit their QC wasn't where it should have been, and that their plugs were many heat ranges out)

If you wanted, maybe I could help you out on Sunday - but I have to fix my garage door - it's seriously screwed atm...

I'll be at the Tims @ Barlow, I don't even know where the Timmy's in Riverbend is? I'm not very familiar with the south.

google is your friend!

Tim Horton's; Riverbend

Basically, from Deerfoot, turn onto eastbound Glenmore;
From Glenmore turn onto Southbound 18th street;
you will see the Tim Horton's almost immediately on your left;
turn left at the first set of lights, then left again to get into the shopping center.

If you don't want to meet there, that's fine - but if you or anyone else is willing to meet there, I can meet up, introduce myself, and lead you all to Race City to meet the other guys.
I'm normally only home after 5pm, and would want to have something to eat before heading out.

I had initially suggested the TH's in Riverbend for two reasons;
1) I live there, so I could have something to eat, and meet people there no problem
2) If we were to go to BP's afterwards, the one in Riverbend (a couple doors down from the TH's) is arguably the closest one - and most asuredly more central than going down to the one @ 130th

First I read you say something about getting laid off from a job - I thought it was AV (I was apparently under the misunderstanding that your jobs gave you about the same hours each).

Second, if you are going to argue that someone going in for parts will not more often than not get mundane questions because the computer system you use asks it, then you're on some kind of meds, that I INSIST you share with the rest of us!

If I had said "Steve wasn't bright" - you should take offense - but being in the industry, you should be well aware that often they hire people to do a job like yours whom have minimal knowledge ~ which equates to the company being able to pay less.

sorry if I upset you.

@ Mark - Call up Steve - apparently he's already read this; maybe he already priced them out!

Nah no hard feelings, I know they did the same thing to me when I wasn't working there.

And yes I'm still working at autovalue part time as that's all the hours they can give me.

And ya our system sucks ***** and yes for us to look up the part we need to know year, make, model and engine, if you have a part number we can look it up that way. We also have hard books but again we can't look up the part with out the same info

most of the time when I go to a place like AV, the person behind the counter rolls their eyes at the prospect of looking anything up in the book...

and considering how much I have bought in the past, and all the grief I get if I didn't answer questions the way they wanted it, I now normally either go knowing the part number, or kinda mess with them by have multiple vehicles which have the same part in mind...

btw, if new parts catalogues come in, can you tell me before they're thrown out? - I'd be interested in stuff like AC delco plug books Felpro catalogues and what not...

We just threw out all ours a few weeks ago and ya my store is full of great guys and we don't mind the books, the books for a lot of things tend to be easier to look things up ie. U-joints are easier to look up in the book then the computer.

ok, fair enough.

I have some older ones, but since some parts are not listed in my books, and some parts are superseded by others, newer ones are good to have.

Ya were slowly getting more cobalt parts as gm releases the patents for them. As long as the patents are open we can get just about anything car related

I don't know if I can say how happy I will be if I was kicked off for not wearing a helmet...
but at Race City, still stock, with a good 3/10ths to go...
I'm doubting it will happen...

RC used to require helmets for everyone, and iirc Castrol still does.

EDIT

If anyone wants to meet up, we're shooting for the Tim Horton's in Riverbend at about 6pm.
If you want to show up earlier, call my place, I can give you directions to my house;
*** *** ****

EDIT2
Well it now sounds like even Kris is going to meet up here - by the looks of it both of us will be on hte track tonight, so I'd wager we will be @ RC before 7pm just to try to get as many runs in as possible...
