I forget his name, but some guy at Jack Carter was really nice... let me take an LNF out for a rip. That was right when they came out, too.

well, I'm really hoping that I'll be ok, the service advisor said they have seen this before and the parts were ordered last week;

care to share how your IC fiasco went down?
Did you have anything aftermarket on the car when you brought it in to JC when this went down?

at the end of the day a car salesman is a car salesman;
if they do not seem nice, odds are they will not make a sale.

My brother went in there early in '09 (they received the first SS/TC that I saw sitting on a lot, it was a yellow/highrise/G85 car, much like mine), he arranged for a tesxt drive with his then very pregnant wife;
The salesman walked with them out to the car, and said something to the effect of "I'm old, and not limber enough to crawl into the back seat, here are the keys go bring it for a rip, I'll wait here"
Very cool.
I ended up deciding to not buy from them because they were unwilling to budge off MSRP, and had officially given up after I noticed that the yellow car (after nearly 12 months) appeared to have finally sold...
Then several months later I found my car;
on the other end of town;
fully loaded;
well below base/SS MSRP.

wow. me and my gf of almost 16 months are on the edge of breaking up. this really sucks. spent the last 2 hours on the phone arguing with her while she is hammered, and if i hung up she said we would be over. so i sacked up and talked to her until my minutes ran out. since im on telus pay and talk, i get 25 cents a minute and i just spent 25$ talking to her. now i have to go get a 50$ phone card tomorrow and a tank of gas as i only have about 1-3 liters left in my tank. plus i still owe my mother 1400$ for my car and im trying to pay it off as fast as i can so i can start modding my car. life sucks nuts right now! not to mention i gave up almost all of my friends from junior high for her, so now i literally have 3 friends that i hang out with, my hockey team, and i know alot of kids at school but dont hang out with any of them, and some kids from another school. i literally have almost no real friends. at least i have a bit of money in my account to pay for this **** and pay about 150$ off on my car. i get paid on Wednesday and 200$ at the end of the month so it should all be good by then. glad i dont have to pay the bills. thank you for reading all of this bullshit and talk to you guys later! ps. i found a site that i hope actually gets taken off the internet, its called thatsphucked. com and it has videos of people dying i many ways. it has suicide videos, murder videos, execution videos, a guy getting mauled by a bear, and other absolutely horrific things. if you want to check it out, it is not for the squeamish!!!!!

This thread just took a turn for the insane, sounds like a rough night man hope it gets better for yea. Don't end up on that site over it.

Damn, I love Chilli.

Anyways, any opinions on dual interceptors that light up white? I've found a good deal on some and I wanted red, but I think it would be worth it saving $100+ over new for white ones instead of red. I noticed that our boost gauge has white/red on it along with the rest of our gauges, so if I put it to balck background/white lettering it might not look bad.

Opinions?

Do it. Dual interceptors is the shizz. I wish I went that route instead of the kiwi wifi for iPhone.

I did it, I don't think white will look too bad. Ended up getting them for $275 shipped, V2.5 PT Series. Couldn't pass it up. Damn, this car costs me more when I'm not driving it! haha.

I'm not doing a whole lot today as I work tommorow, what about you guys?

soundjunky, all I had for mods was a K&N drop in air filter (jack carter didnt like that). There wasnt much to it, a bunch of arguing and nasty phone calls, and after they had the car for a few weeks it ended with them making up some excuse for why the warranty doesnt cover the broken IC, then they handed me the bill for the rental they gave me.

I dont have to work till tuesday, wooo! lol

R u going to be rocking the triple pod or r u going to make like a dual pod over the steering wheel?

And ya this **** is expensive. I found the wheels of my childhood dreams for sale so I'm contemplating borrowing money from my sister to get them... Or getting a shitty job for a week to pay for them lol. I prefer borrowing route tho lol.

@DK - wow... I think Mark's got new competition for run-on sentanced garbled posts...

lemme see if I can condense it down to some key points before making my opinion known;

You're only in HS, 16 months might seem like a long time, but it's really small fries.

arguing with a drunk is a waste of time

Frankly I'd encourage you to go without minutes till you can actually afford it.
If this is a first time, you can prove a point, if it's not a first, then you should make an example of it;
She insisted that you use up all your money & minutes arging on the phone with her when she was drunk...
Let her know you cannot afford any more minutes for time being...

this makes the last point that much more concerning...

It sounds to me like you're dating a 'princess'...

Any time someone is trying to control your friends, I do not consider it to be a healthy thing... and odds are if she gets away with this now, it will just escalate till she turns you into a loner, who only has her, and her friends as your only people whom you associate with.

I have seen it time and again - and these situations never tend to work out well.

A healthy relationship has give and take from both sides, and is one in which both parties accept the other as he or she is, and doesn't try to change or manipulate the other...

Assuming you're cognicant of unhealthy relationships (in every faction of your life), and try to distance yourself from them;
life really does get easier, and a whole lot less complicated with time...
trust me on this.

ok, you've officially got me nervous... but I'm going to still going to hope that I'm not going to get screwed...
The part's were ordered without my oking it...
I understand that they will be performing work - which I have signed nothing authorizing...
As I see it, if I haven't authorized parts be billed, or work to be done, they cannot charge me for it.

Getting the triple pillar. I'm not a fan of the steering wheel pods, I'd rather be able to see things while looking up still. Wish I could somehow turn it into a HUD haha.

What wheels are you looking at?

Assuming you're referring to my avice to DK;

I might not date much, but it's purely from lack of trying and/or lack of concern...
Even though I don't date much, it doesn't mean I'm ignorant to the pitfalls that people commonly find themselves in.

2 things.

1. tjay you totally dropped the ball on the wiring for the wideband you sold me grrr

2. doubleLP if your still on here that goes for you with the PAC module as well

does nobody solder and heatshrink anymore to make a proper connection like holy ****. partially my fault for not checking to see what was under the electrical tape but come on people do things right the first time that way i don't have to tear down my car after work so i don't screw **** up.

I solder/Heat shrink everything unless I can properly crimp it (Anderson Powepole connectors, stuff like that). Best way to go. I can't stand ugly installs haha, even on stuff you don't see.

well i had my dash apart and figured i'd take a second look at the pac module as they were all electrical taped together, none of the joints were butt connected or anything, but connectors i can live with but they were just twisted together. so i spend 2 hours that day fixing the wiring and getting it all back together.

then left work today and my wideband wasn't working (again!!!) so through my diagnosis procedure found most of the wiring wasn't holding a good connection, so i had to pull the wiring and solder it all. that i just finished which took like an hour and a half to do (in an underground parkade, with a flashlight on my knee's) not fun.
