The way I look at it is it is probley about a 25 to 30 grand car,it isn't a corvette or dodge viper..We drove our new nissan in the winter that just past and that is about 65 grand and it shouldn't have been out in the snow but we did because we didn't have the money for a beater..this year will be different though

Excatly... i can see parking a 370z, thats legit.

Only reason i didnt drive mine this winter was because i couldn't afford a winter setup. So this year got the rims, will get the wheels, and it'll be driven all year round.

who cares what the car is worth and what it is, if you want to keep it good, expecially living in the maritimes, storing it for the winter is you're best bet

Put it this way nothing is good for the car, we have sand and it is the shittest thing out there, not only that it can chip the hell out of your car and crack the windshields, and the dealership didn't even care what it looked like when we gave it to them..they knew it came from somewhere down east...lol

Yup same here... there's too many negatives to me about driving my SS in the winter:
  • salt - corrosive
  • sand - leads to paint chips and cracked windsheilds
  • drivers that can't drive in the snow - driving too fast, locking up breaks, driving with tires that i wouldn't even use in the summer lol
  • huge blocks of ice/snow on the roads just looking for a lip to destroy
  • snow - even with good winter tires you can still loose traction - and if I'm going to be in the ditch I'd rather it be with a beater that I don't give a **** about

So yeah, with my winter beater I don't have to think about how I'm putting my car through all this ****. To each their own.... all I know is that when I compare someone's car that gets driven in the winter vs. mine - it's night and day. And that's how I justify it - there is a difference.

And I didn't know there was a value cap on storing vehicles in the winter... whatevs

Drove my SS last winter with no problems what so ever. Just took all the goodies off the car and put my Michelin X-Ice 2 ons. Worked great. only 2 small chips in the paint. And no damage to the lip

I agree man especially here in nova scotia they just pound the roads with salt. I was soo glad I had something else to drive instead of driving my g5 gt in the winter.

I'de rather not drive around a POS car 1/3rd of the year. To each their own I guess. Its actually probably cheaper to buy a beater instead of winter tires and rims for the TC lol.

Not if that beater decides to screw off in the middle of the winter. They won't always be reliable. I'd rather not get stranded in a snow storm somewhere in a POS.

Just orderd the rear nismo bumper for my car, $395 shipped + $250 to have them paint it and have the Nissan Emblem shaved off. It will take 3 weeks to ship due to painting/filling. They quoted me $880 for the front bumper and hardware to attach it and painting. Also they just got the side skirts in stock, $617 for both, from the dealership its $800 per side. Also Stillen has CF Nismo Spoilers in stock, $725 shipped, beats $3000 for oem spoiler.

I was going to get the Maxxis Jarren, but decided on these instead. The 235 fits perfect. No rubbing at all
