Not sure but I know it's really rich, you'll beat him so easy though.

I'm not bias either but this forum/group is full of fanboys. WOW!

Yes, My Civic is slow and I don't care that it's slow. Parts are cheap, it's pretty dang reliable, and it's fantastic on fuel. Guess I'm that partial percent that doesn't think the car is fast.
Guess so, And is it possible you are also a douchbag

I'm not taking either sides but it's slim to none that a civic is done up properly tbh.. Usually it's young teens that slap fart cans and a intake and think they're all that..

Driver's race. Two cars are so similar it could be anyone's game. You might have a slight advantage but really the 1/4 mile times are .5 sec difference. Drivers race territory.

How long you been driving stick for? Him?

Your dealer prob put on brand new all season tires. What is he running?

Going higher octane won't help unless you're tuned for it.

higher octane means better throttle response. And yeah all season. He's just running a cai and a cat back so very small gains there as I am running stage 2 gm, long tube header, and a cai. So there should be no question that I wouldn't beat him. Especially from a dig and both been driving stick for a year. I know how to launch also. Idk about him

Higher octane gives better knock resistance, not throttle response

while i agree with you i also disagree. because at the track it really takes drivers and skill to get good times. while in the street or roll racing its the car's power that does the talking...stock for stock any lsj will walk a civic si of any gen...

from a dig i should put lengths on him. 50+ torque off the line with boost.. Doesn't seem like a comparison. I don't like roll races, they seems cheap, I like dig races because it shows who has the better car and who's the better driver

Driving for stick only a year. Lots to learn my friend. 10+ years for me. You have the advantage but anyone's race IMO if you're both new.

meh, it's not hard, but no one is perfect at driving standard doesn't matter how long they have been driving for. From a dig I'm good at launching cobalts.

how ironic that I see a gutted out civic hatch, roll cage, boosted, with slicks, and an exhaust of some sort coming out of the hood... Props to that build!

They are racing from a dig while both being very new at driving stick and/or driving in general. Just saying it isn't a 100% guaranteed win so be humble going into it and beat that civic for us.

Oh and there are a ton of fast civics out there. Properly done. The aftermarket community is huge compared to ours. Sorry young speed racer you must learn to respect all rides.

the 07+yr civic are fast I'll give them that. I have the results in a different thread I posted. It was neck and neck!

Fast? No. Quick? yes.

Just like a stock SS/SC is only quick not fast.

Any car can be made to be fast though, all depends on what ya want to spend.

When I was only GMS1 (7k limiter, 42# injectors, tune), I put a car or two on an 8th gen Si with an exhaust and intake. Your S2 should do better, but I saw your other thread. Some more experience with your car, and you should pull him rather well.

Kudos for being honest about the outcome of your race though!

Yeah it was a fun time, as I get to know the car better and where it's strong points are I think I could've done better.. And thanks!
