Spec or Exedy
I am the one that said "The spec clutch I got didnt fit right at all POS" , I had it in only a month and didnt drive it for half that, also did'nt drag the hell out of it. The one I ordered for gravana(stg2+flywheel) is not right. I'll show you hold on let my download
Not installed wrong got proof, and it in writing, I sent spec some pics. until then. right now I'm puting 5 grand in my balt and probably different clutch. I hope I get a full refund considering I had to have it put in and then pulled out.
Please keep us posted on the clutch issue. I would still like to know about the EXEDY, and now I'm interested in the Centerforce one as well!!!! Where and how much please!!!!
Until then... Week 3 of having no engine in the balt continues.

Installer error! I've done it myself on some old chevys!!! I bitched at the clutch maker only to find out it was my fault. You live and learn.
As for the other comments, jumping to conclusions when you read about a 2-3% failure rate is ridiculous!!!! EVERY thing in this world has a failure rate of some sort, deal with it! As long as the company involved handles ut correctly, move forward

Free replacement???
that's not the wrong one, it looks just like the one i bought and sent back
there' was also a guy on here or redlineforums, that ordered the spec flywheel and the bolt holes were drilled wrong
and for those saying it's just one person having problems with their spec clutch because of drag racing... believe me, it's not. i found atleast a dozen stories from the srt forums about people blowing out these clutches, then to add on to it we have one clutch that is f'd up and one flywheel that is f'd up just from the first few people that bought them for our cars
that doesn't say alot for the quality

those + series clutches are a pretty cool design... soft engagement when under load they grip more... i watched a tv show the other day on how they work, not a spec one but it was for some diesel trucks or something, the clutch was supposed to have the same feel as stock, but held 900tq

MAYBE that damage on the clutch in this thread is the noise that people have been hearing that is getting blamed on the pilot bearing. And why doesn't Spec provide the bearings? I have only used Clutch Masters and they always come with the bearings.
